I liked the orange also but the plan is to build another one that will be orange and this one I will sell. We figured that the grey would appeal to more people and go with most vehicles than the orange.

Well it's been a little while but here's the big reveal, new paint job, a lip around the lid to keep out the water, table moved into the lid for storage, new latch for the lid and the lid hinges reworked. Sitting next to my brother's build. Here's a few close ups.

A couple of things to keep in mind, first do you have the tools, ability and time to work on the trailer yourself or would you be outsourcing it? Is the 416 titled or would you have to jump through the hoops to get it titled? Do you want a project trailer or something turnkey that you can take...

A little more work on the frame over the weekend. the measurements are 12'2" long by 69" wide. As I had said before this trailer will be for carrying camping gear inside and kayaks on the roof.

If you can weld or know someone who can do a little metal work it's a lot cheaper than buying one. This one was built from left over pieces from the trailer build. Total cost less than $10.

If you have the resources I think having a trailer is the way to go also. You can leave it and go riding without having to pack up each time you want to go.
