Pregnant wife / camping shower / toilet recommendations...

I don't have a ton of experience with this yet, but I am trying to build a camp shower setup that pleases my wife. She is not as interested in roughing it as me. I have used the giant "Epic Wipes" before and that does a decent job. But it is time for a real shower and our own facilities. I...

    LR4 spare tire options

Why not a tactical rovers bumper? Eric is good to work with, He might be willing to make some changes for you if you wish and he already has a bumper design with great fitment.

    LR3/LR4 trip toolkit - what's in yours?

So you have the 2009 - 2011 LR4 workshop manual. I have one that is 2009-2012. Has anyone found one that includes 2013? I have found the 09-12 one to be accurate so far, including several parts of the wiring diagrams, but I would still be interested in finding a 2013 version. I am also...

    LR4 spare tire options

Those are probably great for most people, I agree. I like the idea of the steel for a couple reasons. 1. if you are off road and you drag the ***, the factory bumper cover can get ripped off. 2. I had the side step things put on my T44 bumper. They are handy for climbing to the back when im...

    LR4 spare tire options

I think the TR bumper with parking sensors is a nice setup overall. I also usually run with the spare under and the swing arms off, and the parking sensors on. I only put the dual swing arms on when I take a trip that requires carrying extra jerry cans or makes use of a trasharoo. The spare...

My disco makes me want to dance

I agree with this. I only put on my tire and dual jerry swings when I am using it for a trip. Its pretty easy to take off, just the gas strut and the main bearing bolt and they are off.

Discovery SVX at LA Auto Show

im still perplexed about these photos and the d5. they have roof racks, loaded to the gills... notice how far forward they have to be to clear the rear door. and on that topic, with the trunk open, how the hell do you access the roof rack? not even a ladder. the split tailgate loss is my...

    Defender Discovery

I respect the mechanical skill, but not the design skill. The fitment is pretty horrible. B pillar is in a very odd place compared to the driver seat. I feel like it should be saying "Kill me! I am not meant to exist".

    How do you do it!?!

We have 4 of us, no dog. And a Land Rover LR4. Its still tight. I've been down sizing things, chairs where downsized this year which helped. Our tent is a 10x10 kodiak canvas, its a bit large, also all our sleeping gear. I downsized to camping pillows, but the family still carry full...

BFG - White In / White out

I actually like the white lettering, but I put mine in now because they just get thrashed and look horrible if you use it off road. On my goodyear silent armors, I had them out for awhile but they got nasty and half scraped off anyway. I was surprised I didn't have other more severe sidewall...

ARB Summit bar does fit the 2010-2013 LR4!

I heard back from Warn regarding the high beam connection wire on the platinum winch. The blue wire is the correct wire, however it doesn't provide the function I was hoping. Apparently, in EU or somewhere you can only use aux lights when you also have the high beams on. Thats fine. But the...

ARB Summit bar does fit the 2010-2013 LR4!

A few people have mentioned they were interested in my project. The new LR4 ARB Summit bar (part no. 3432220) is listed as being for the 2014+ model year LR4. TLDR, it fits! The area under the headlights is very slightly different and how the headlights and grille fit to each other, but the...

LR4 Johnson Rods + Alignment = Uneven Tire Wear. How Fix?

True, I didn't mean to imply that you can't, but its not just flipping a switch. Question for you. I read something that says the IID tool is not meant to be left in the ODB port full time. I don't, but I was curious as to why? Is it because it draws current or just a safety issue (someone...

LR4 Johnson Rods + Alignment = Uneven Tire Wear. How Fix?

I know of a few systems like that, I think a popular one is called LLAMS?.. they have a switch to control different height modes, and a module that just intercepts the signals. Those are much faster for on-the-fly height changes. You could use it with an IID tool, but you wouldn't get any...

LR4 Johnson Rods + Alignment = Uneven Tire Wear. How Fix?

The product I am familiar with are made of eight grommets and four sturdy little pieces of wire for roughly that price. The OE ones are plastic, so they don't even need to be that strong. Yes, $100+ is a lot for that... for what you get. Which is why I state the margin must be very good for...

LR4 Johnson Rods + Alignment = Uneven Tire Wear. How Fix?

Tires have an obvious advantage. I run the largest I can (and have considered larger, but would require some mods and i'd worry about gearing and such). I really enjoy the 1"+ that I get from my tires. It's the best lift you can get. How do rods help clear larger tires? I run 265/65R18 on...

Chasing Demons [LR3 EAS] [Solved - I'm an dolt]

Do you get sane looking values from the sensors in live view? Looks like a failed sensor causes that, but if you replaced them that would be odd.
