    Off road pop up trailer?

Do that then add a thick skid plate from trailers front leading edge to under the axle. Then slide your unit over larger obstacles; not treading lightly IMO but I saw a older clamshell trailer/lifted cruiser combo last year doing so (North cariboo, aug, rough 60 with diesel and a straight pipe...

    Suzuki Carry 'Expedition' ATV/Mini truck

Plainsmuse - awesome plans for your Carry, and glad to hear there available to you. Truly the expedition vehicle of the future. Do auto kia trucks like the carry have different gearing in the Auto's? I passed a spotlessly clean Carry headed to the border, this weekend, that must have been doing...

Looking for suggestions for my truck

Active commercial use Canadian backroads post the VHF channel (normally 150-170mhz) road side, which the huge offroad trucks use to call there position on. Monitoring that channel, with your scanner, opens up many areas for exploring.

Toyota 4x4 Camper and Aluminum Fishing Boat combo - $8000--Craigslist--no affiliation

Umm, is that not a good deal for this combo in Calafornia? It sure would be north of the border; if that listing was from BC, Canada it would be gone within the first hour of posting. :26_7_2:

How do you cook in camp?

Love this thread cause even though we always want to get 'out there', with each browse here I want get 'out there' and start cooking! :lurk: :REOutCampFire03: Just ordered a BushBuddy this morning, I was just introduced to it; does anybody else use one?

Princess: Expedition Ready 4BT Powered FJ62

Your right, the 12H-T and later 1HD-T are very nice engines; BUT the part costs for two friends with 1hd-t motors is through the roof. This for engines that have on average only 60-70 thousand miles, but they also sat for years in Japan before being imported. Toyota + Cummins = Perfection...

Princess: Expedition Ready 4BT Powered FJ62

OMG, OMG, that is sooooooo nice. Your asking price is excellent too, even north of the border imported diesel cruisers are commonly available for that price but with no where near the work/effort/extras in them (even bone stock). EDIT - didn't know if it was polite to put cruiser...

    google maps goes hard core

Doesn't work now, you have the rest of us curious as to what it said. Would it be along the lines of what you get if you type in "find Chuck Norris" in Google and then hit the 'I'm feeling lucky' button?

Fuso Crew Cab Cantor 4wd on Ebay

There's too many contradictions in that Ebay listing; first it's listed as a 1995 Mitsubishi Carry Truck but it's a Canter in those pictures, it has the 6 bolt 15" rims of the Canter, the 6 bolt wheels of a canter not the 5 bolt of a Carry, a 1 liter naturally aspirated diesel in a 3/4 ton or 1...

    MTB, anyone riding a 29er?

BTW, have to thank you because i just copy and pasted your post for the umpteenth time (I always give you credit). You put that very well and I'd about given up defending 29's. Riding with fused vertebra, suspension and the 29s have kept me on a bike and on the trails. Cheers

    Ever see one of these?

Just as a tease I had to post pictures of the 'Mystery Machine' (A real Bristol Machine). They are posted plenty everywhere so I know he won't mind, he's our England to Canada tech support guru; and some time guest.

    campsite pics..lets see um

Yes, thank you so much for the Toy van pictures!!!! And the web link for ToyotaVanPeople, read your post throughly. Big fan, I had a 1984 Toyota Van, purchased new and had a huge lump in my throat years later selling it with 384,000 km on it - all mine. Only vehicle I was emotional about...

Tire Musings- BFG AT 235/85R16 ($400.00!)

Wow, good price! Western Canada's best price for one 31"x10x15 BFG AT is $230 Canadian dollars. You shouldn't need to sipe the BFG all-terrains, they are fantastic on the snow as is. My last set of Michelin X-ices were only better on ice and slush covered ice.

    Ever see one of these?

There was a statistics of how many Mitsubishi vans were sold in the USA on the web, and it's was quite a low number. All models sold in North America having 2wd and gas engines. If interested there are many Delica forums (the Taiwanese forum has fantastic mods, intercoolers, lockers, lifts...

    Delica sighting

Yes it is a diesel, the 2.5 is a super engine. Japanese exported Delicas are rarely gas, only one in BC, Canada appears to be around. Like everything about them so much I had to buy two. Cheers :camping:

Maximumrob, in full agreement with your thread 'debt-free livin' is spot on to the live style we choose. Decided to not to have new car payments again (though my wifie is amazing and paid off our last Camry, then Astro off in less then 2.5 years each :wings: ), cause it did nothing for our...
