And of course if you roll thru Oregon, you have a place to stay, do laundry, intel on Oregon places to see/do, and of course bunch dirt bikes and surfboards.
T- Congratulations on taking the leap. You should be proud of yourselves, it takes some courage to opt for a different path for a period of time.
I briefly met a family with 3 kids from Colorado taking their annual 30-45 day surf trip in Saladita (they drive down in the old Toyota Camper). It...
T- hope all is well - check in on your site from time to time, and run across you here and there on vehicle related sites. Glad to see your still tinkering with Toyota's and bikes- 2 of the best things ever.
You mentioned clearing out the house, so whats the scoop? Hope your taking the leap-...
As a Chevy 3500 owner, I love seeing options for chev/GM vans. The bumpers look awesome and the modular approach is fantastic, plus the light weight too. Question what size wheels and tires are on that van. And what years does the complete 4x4 kit apply too.
Thank you.
Great Trip Report. We did much of the same but in reverse somewhat.
We saw you Monday night at the campground, as had driven down from Oregon with my son for his spring break. We arrived just after dark and considered staying at the camp ground and in fact parked on the side road about 50...
I will follow this thread, as I hope you post what route you go. I want to add a turtle top as at 6'3 moving around bent over stinks. But have the same question as you- attach to the gutters with ultra high side brackets to clear the top. Or attach directly to the fiberglass.
My main concern...
I have the Toytech Boss on my 16 4Runner- it rides significantly better then stock on and offroad. The ride is firm but plush at the same time. No more nose dive and it eats up washboard.
After a year I added the HD rear springs, mainly as i added a roof top ten, drawers, gas cans etc. Dont...
Looks like another great high quality product. Would love to see pics with the swing outs.
Currently rocking your hidden winch mount- easy to install and economical.
16 SR5- Toytech lift, pelfrey hidden winch, K9 rack, CVT Tent, drawer system, set up for easy camping. We did a 30 day road trip all over the West last summer. I think i have 80 nights in the tent since Apri 17. Lot of fun with this truck.
Just a guess- recently had temp sensor go out, it first showed as a hard start- a little rough and smelled rich, once warm no issues. Didn't want to run right when computer thinks its 40 below and richens up the air-fuel ratio like crazy. Mine ran like crap, little power and eventually stalling.
For smaller stuff, you can make a small tool container by cutting the tops off 2 oil bottles, then nest them together. Keeps sharp stuff from wearing thru fabrics or canvas and is quiet. I use this mainly for small tools, extra nuts bolts, jb weld, wire etc. I learned this from taking week...
Speaking of beasts I see 27 beasties plus the Ambo Beast above, and we are on page 666. Chris you're middle name isn't Damien is it????
All kidding aside, I can't be the only one who looks at this thread daily to see what you're working on. One of these days I am going to sell my Chevy and...
