Lifted AWD Express and Savana 1500 driveability question

I have a 1998 Chev 3500 15 passenger, with solid axle swap up front- running on 275's. Its solid, like 1 finger on the steering wheel at 80mph with no problems. Not quite the same as cranking the torsion bars up, but in effect still a lifted van. Mine has less body roll and is easy to drive.

    riNR AWD Chev Combi-Van

Ditto on the Aluminess tire carrier - zero problem to open and close it- even if you had to do it lots times every day. No rattles either - very good quality product. I have 275/70/17's so it's a decent size/weight- tire carrier handles it no problem.

Roof racks suck gas, but how much?

I cant seem to find an off the shelf roof rack fairing that is wide enough and tall enough- I have Thule tall mounts to accommodate the rocker curve of my 17' canoe. Thinking I need to make on up- anyone have any experience, tips or pics of what they have done?

    Soften up my ride

P.s. Put a dab of grease on the bottom of both of your rubber bump stops and drive it as you would normally, but stop and check often to see if it has bottomed and transferred the grease to the pad - I think you will be surprised at the results, no, I know you will. Are you saying the springs...

    Soften up my ride

I have 98 chev 3500 from advanced and also not pumped on the front end. Have been considering doing what you are looking into- new springs- as mine seem to be flat or close to reverse arch. Any recommended spring shops near Portland.
