Montero Gen 2.5 (NL) Capacities, Part Numbers and Specialty Tools List

Just noticed, this is incorrect "MOOG K9735 Ball Joint, Upper (right/left are same part #)" The correct upper ball joint number is K9753. Also, to add, Front Swaybar Links, Autoparts International, 2700-74711 and 2700-74770. (RockAuto had (has?) them on clearance for less than $2 each)

Easy ball joint replacement and noticed i need new UCA bushings

The 98's steering is solid, tight, and smooth with the idler arm upgrade in and the new front end parts. With the Siberian poly UCA and LCA bushings, this is going to be phenomenal ! (then Bilsteins...) :)

    Montero vs Trooper

Flew to Tucson to pick up my Gen 2.5, then drove it straight to NC. In fact, dropped the seller off with the cash at an ATM and hopped right onto I 10. I will gladly offer my services of going to look at Montero's, and drive them to you. Pay my expenses, and I'd do it.

Easy ball joint replacement and noticed i need new UCA bushings

Ok, I decided to order the Siberian poly LCA bushings too... I figured I will just do it now, before I head west for OXW (and hopefully some near never-ending exploring), and perhaps never need to replace them again. (photo off of ADD's site)

Easy ball joint replacement and noticed i need new UCA bushings

A buddy and I tore into the Montero's front end to replace all ball joints, all TREs, pitman arm, and install the ADD Chromoly Idler arm kingpin upgrade. Turns out the UCA bushings are shot. LCA bushings seemed ok. This thing rode so well with worn ball joints AND worn UCA bushings AND worn...

Another T-belt question from a new member (sorry)

Thanks, this has been another help with the t belt parts list. I chose to go with OEM Mitsu front cam and crank seals. Hopefully they will last for a long time. My cam seals, crank seal, water pump, t belt/tensioner/pulleys, crank bolt, and 1/4" coolant hoses should all be changed this coming...
