Picked up a refurbished Yeti 400

Hey thanks for sharing Matt. Super helpful to know real world experiences. My next big trip is in June and I've mocked up one of these on my roof: Renogy*Eclipse**100*Watt*12*Volt*Monocrystalline*Solar*Panel https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B3TEM1E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_jz9azbQQ91PTS And If...

Also, rayra—pretty sure I'll once again follow your advice. I think I might ditch my hitch.

Let me know if you find anything definitive. I double checked "before" pictures on my phone and the stock links were bolt-side down. I remember thinking about this when putting the moogs in because the bolts are longer. If I would have put bolt-side up—I think they'd interfere with the UCA.

Spent the weekend up on WA NF-2530 under the shadow of Mount Jupiter: The purpose of the trip was do a shakedown run before dragging out my wife and daughters. I had a blast and learned many lessons for next time: 1. The hitch is ridiculously low. I had to cross many road washouts that...

I don't know if any other suburban / Silverado owners feel the same way, but the stock headlights are just awful. I've aimed and re-aimed using a wall & tape measure and can't seem to get them dialed in. So, I'm going to give these Depo projectors a try. They are well made for the price, but...

I actually went so far as to buy an extra middle seat out of a Yukon so that I could swap the flaps. They are held in place with a piano hinge that it riveted to the steel in the seat. I could not get them off So now the seat is a couch in my garage. I would have just swapped the seat as is...

Gearing up for a solo camping trip in a few weeks as a "dry run" before dragging out my family. Perhaps my favorite Suburban trait is the sheer amount out volume inside. The plan is to fold down the second row of seats to use as a "platform" for my fridge, yeti 400, and dry storage. When...

50-ish degrees. My results are consistent with what others have reported: With min temp differential draws 10.4 Watts or .87 Amps an hour = 250 Watts or 20.9 Ah a day. Averages around 12 Watts or 1 Amp an hour = 288 Watts or 24 Amp hours a day with moderate temps. With 50° temperature...

Picked up a refurbished Yeti 400

My mom always told me that it never hurts to ask. I emailed GZ sales and was able to get a refurbished yeti 400 for $299, free shipping! I purchased this to compliment my 50qt ARB refrigerator. Like others, I immediately discovered that ARB 12v chord won't make contact with the GZ socket, so...

    'Burb buying advice

I bought my Suburban with slightly higher miles (175k) and no history, other than a small fender bender in 2005. I did a full panel of fluids (oil, diffs, t-case, trans, etc) and tires right away (285/70/17). I pretty quickly ran into other maintenance issues. Note, these are all super common...

Yes! I have 3. They are plenty sturdy. Not sure how weatherproof they are though. I haven't tested.

Front 5100s are in. I can't over state how much better it rides compared to the tired KYBs. The whole job took less than 90 minutes. I swear I aged a year unscrewing the top nuts. Rears are next! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
