    I got here as fast as I could - '04 Suburban Z71

Well, I guess I'll have to sort out my power situation—because I accidentally bought an ARB50 :D I just happened to find a used one locally at a price that I couldn't refuse. My Suburban has an ancient off-brand battery that I've been meaning to replace. I've been doing a lot of...

    'Burb buying advice

OP there is an odd-ball option: chevy introduced the LTZ for the last year of the GMT800 line. It's basically a Z71 with some chrome, nav, and the 6.0/4L65. Basically a Denali with true 4wd. Might be a good compromise. Doesn't carry the same weight penalty of the 3/4 ton...

    'Burb buying advice

GMT 800 checking in here. I lusted after a 100-series Land Cruiser / LX for a while but didn't want to pay the cost of admission. The burb really is in a class of it's own when you consider price, availability, cost to own, and SPACE. I paid $7500 for a 2004 Z71, all options (tow package, G80...

2003 Chevy Suburban 2500 LT build

Another Suburban! Love those 8.5" wide wheels. Really fill out the wheel wells. I've been staring at the Cognito leveling kit for a year now for my '04 1500 Suburban. Can someone educate me on *why* I need new control arms?

Highland 2004500 Black Universal Pet Barrier https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002MABGE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_CP8h8vIeIW2Q1 It's okay... I have behind my folded third row. My plan was to stow my third row seat in the garage when not in use but the barrier isn't tall enough (my burb is missing the flaps...

Making my way through swapping out all the lights for LEDS. Tails/brake lights, rear turn signals, reverse lights, plate lights, and puddle lights are done outside. Had to install an LED specific flasher to avoid hyper flash. I thought I had gotten away from having to use resistors but now...

    Airbags for towing?

You can pick up a set of helper bags that fit inside your coils. They have a Schrader valve on them and you air up as needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Jelorian's 03 Z71 Suburban Build

I can't speak for Jelorian, but I have 3500 miles on 285/70R17 (just a hair under 33") Cooper Discovery ATP e-rated tires. Difference in power and mpg was negligible in my experience. No rubbing w/o a lift as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I tightened my britches and replaced my intake manifold gaskets today to address a CEL. Special shoutout to Rayra's super helpful thread. I was surprised to find a Fel-pro gasket in there already. But for whatever reason, I still had a vacuum leak. I was also relieved to find new knock...

Hey Vortec Guys! / Sierra pickup / Suburban / Yukon etc - Finally has Index!

For what it's worth, you are overpaying for parts. Felpro gaskets, 2 knock sensors, and wires should be ~$175 I'm in the same boat as you. Don't have time, trying to figure out if it's worth it to just pay someone.
