2020 Ford F250 on 37s - Expedition Truck Camper Build!

Absolutely not. It’s not about, can something work in a pinch. It’s about how it compares to others for the same role. The Jeep Gladiator isn’t one either. The F250 is to big; to wide, to long, to much overhang and to HEAVY!

Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) BASE-CAMP Pickup Camper - Soft-Wall and Hard-Wall Versions

JuannaGo was my army truck an LMTV. JuannaGo2 was my OEV Summit. JuannaGo3 is my Base Camp. I’ll still refer to it as JuannaGo2 most often. A play on “wanna go too?”. Thank you to my daughter for the name(s).

Sorry I’m wrong. Fresh water is on driver side towards the rear. Under the dinette.

    New Overland Explorer Base Camp

Stayed in the camper last night. Got down to 18 Fahrenheit. Stayed warm and comfortable. The Wesbasto furnace is great. The lithium batteries have significantly more life than the old lead acid battery and weigh far less.

Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) BASE-CAMP Pickup Camper - Soft-Wall and Hard-Wall Versions

Hey that’s my rig, aka, JuannaGo. I can get pics of the underside. Not sure what the “stone anchor” comment means. I’ve removed the Thetford, and will make it a pantry. Fresh water is under the cooktop.

I’d welcome the opportunity to drive/ride in your rig. I’m sure it’s fantastic. Bags, yep one per use. They are just common kitchen trash bags, 13 gallon I think. Cheap.

Here is a YouTube video. (1) Boat Trash Can and Toilet Combo (El-Dukee™) | Fish Fighter™ Products - YouTube Not sure about his method of wrapping and rewrapping with the same bag. I would not assume the "waste" would drop straight down and not stain the sides as well. That would be a mess...

    New Overland Explorer Base Camp

El-Dukee has less of a footprint, also is unattached so can be used outdoors. It can also be set right in the entry and use the shower curtain for privacy. Main reason is I want the "closet" as a pantry for storage. A less import reason is that El-Dukee can go with me in the boat as well...

    New Overland Explorer Base Camp

Yes and a very nice bumper. The only thing I would add, which I will do locally, is a receiver hitch. At times being able to back a boat etc, from the front is very handy. The bumper is made by a company right there in Red Deer. They discussed Radflo as an option with me. Offered to help...

    New Overland Explorer Base Camp

Yeah, I had lots but it seems to be working so well I’m not seeing the need. At some point I will upgrade the tire size, probably to 35’s. So far most roads have been relatively smooth. Need to see how it handles washboards.

It was standard on mine. I thought I was selecting a second tank not a replacement for the standard tank. Ford’s online ordering never made that point.

    New Overland Explorer Base Camp

Interesting, I had no idea. I will monitor mine for that very thing. What about extending further back and a small down turn right at the rear bumper?

    New Overland Explorer Base Camp

My eagerly anticipated Base Camp is in my possession and recently returned from it's shake down trip. Just under 1900 miles in four days. https://adobe.ly/3Nhs0fV A brief recap. My F350 was set to arrive initially in February but arrived in May. It was supposed to have a 40 gallon plus...
