    Bowen NotSoFlat Bed Revisited

He does everything from standard flatbeds to the hybrid camper bed replacement. The one I got is one of many possibilities from him.

    Bowen NotSoFlat Bed Revisited

I was, in the one we affectionately call the Stormtrooper. That originated from my choice to not do a black bed and stylistic collaboration with Brent via text that ended in a dancing Stormtrooper GIF.

No. That’s what I’m moving from. Hallmark now. Look up the Stormtrooper on Truck Camper Adventure’s Instagram feed. I’ll post pics when I’m home.

    IPad, iPhone and InReach

My phone does that too in the bright sun. I understand why, but it’s annoying.

    IPad, iPhone and InReach

I’ve messed with it some, but haven’t actually planned and executed a trip yet. I really think it’s the way to go though. I just read a headline that Caltopo is doing an InReach integration. Gotta read more.

    Bowen NotSoFlat Bed Revisited

The truck headed off to CO on Saturday! I learned some interesting details discussing the build with Brent today. The most intriguing thing though was that the bed height of new Super Duty trucks is actually lower than standard. As a result, slide in camper owners are having to shim them with...

Why I Bought a Ford F250 Tremor for a Four Wheel Campers Hawk UTE

when I built mine just a few months ago, they didn’t have a gasser version anyway, and weren’t sure they would. They didn’t sound super enthused on the phone about the tech.

    Ford/Warn Factory Winch

The winch is at the dealer now. It is in a 40x30x19” box on a palette. The full shipping weight, palette and all was 110lbs. I’m in Southern Oregon, but will drive up to 2h to meet or deliver. I paid $3000. Save $700. $2300.

Aggressive all terrain or less aggressive all mud terrain?

Mud tires and polite road manners aren’t things that generally go together. You have to put up with noise at a minimum. As for an aggressive AT, not sure you’ll find better than the Wildpeak. Sure, there are other options, but Open Country, K02, etc. are equivalents.

Help: Carli/Deaver Rear Springs 06 Ram

That’s pretty dogmatic without any evidence to back it up, other than the self affirming notion that your truck is “right.”

    The Status of Overlanding Today

I think that's what I'm going to call what I do now...outdoor exploring. I like it! Our new rig is going to be very similar to the one above, just way more modernized.

    The Status of Overlanding Today

This is where I’ll disagree. Why is that not a “real” job any more than collecting rent form an investment property, acting, consulting, etc. They may not be punching the clock, but what the good ones do requires LOTS of work. It’s advertising. If you don’t like it, don’t buy what they’re...
