Slow Down! Your OHV Driving is Killing Trees! (errr, maybe it’s the drought tho?)

There are still a few places...but I'm not going to talk about them! :)

Hubs and electric brakes with Toyota lug pattern

Toyota wheels are actually hub-centric (TRD wheels anyway). The problem is that they use mag-seat lugs nuts, that is, lug nuts which have a "shoulder" that slides into the lug opening on the wheel. In order to fit correctly, the lug nut needs to have the right shoulder diameter and depth. The...

Hubs and electric brakes with Toyota lug pattern

That is the exact problem I had with mine...6x5.5 but the wrong lugs (1/2" rather than M12). I couldn't find a mag seat lug nut that would fit 1/2" and also had the right shoulder diameter. Adapters solved the issue, and also pushed the wheels out far enough.

Help with some basic recovery kit

If you're specifically expecting to be pulled out by another vehicle then a kinetic strap is the better option, although I would not recommend using it in the configuration shown in your picture. It shouldn't be wrapped. If you have a receiver on the back of the vehicle then you need something...

Hubs and electric brakes with Toyota lug pattern

I used US Wheel Adapters. They were great to work with and even gave me the second set for half price (after I screwed up the measurements the first time around...)

Hubs and electric brakes with Toyota lug pattern

To be slightly pedantic, what we are talking about here is wheel adapters, not spacers. Spacers don't change the bolt pattern. I had to put adapters on my trailer hubs to fit the wheels that match my truck.. It does push the wheel out a bit (1.25") so you need to have that space to spare but it...

    In cab winch control/relay question...

If the switch documentation says they need a relay for this application then you should probably use a relay for this application....

It can be awkward for the younger crowd who might want to hang out with friends but don't want to drink. I think it's great to have an alternative so you can still have fun at the bar without drinking. At a bar where we were regulars years ago the bartender would make my wife "fancy water" - it...

Reputable Toyota 4x4 Shops Near Boise?

I'm not sure how you would define driving "a little" but Overland Cruisers in Belgrade, MT is about as knowledgeable as you're going to get about Land Cruisers. Excellent folks and they do excellent work. In the other direction there is Mike's Custom Toys in Grant's Pass, OR. Mikes knows his...

You see, that's the thing with Liquid Death, it is *not* alcoholic. Their whole deal is that it is something cool-looking to be drinking at a bar if you don't want to\can't drink alcohol. It's just flavored seltzer water. It seems to be working pretty well.

Trailer build kitchen thoughts. Fridge stays in the Jeep? Sink worth having?

To each their own but that's one of the myriad of reasons I avoid National Parks....Decomposition time isn't much of an issue when everything is well buried is a place where almost nobody ever visits. Not really doing any harm there under the ground. That's why we skip the tent part. Nothing...

Trailer build kitchen thoughts. Fridge stays in the Jeep? Sink worth having?

You might want to check out the Thunderbox. It's way better than hauling around your poop and as comfortable as a regular toilet. We've found it to be invaluable.

Trailer build kitchen thoughts. Fridge stays in the Jeep? Sink worth having?

Can't believe how many people want to haul their poop around with them...Must have been a lot of constipated humans for those 150,000 years that we didn't have toilets :)

120 volt tankless air compressor is much faster than 12v for airing up

A PowerTank will fill tires faster than any compressor with the added benefits of being silent, having no moving parts, and not requiring electrical hookups. Just sayin'...

For anyone interested...the medium gear bag from ATC also happens to fit in a Decked drawer just about perfectly! I love my Decked drawers but they've kind of gone off the rails. I suppose they've found that they can't manage the "continuous growth" model only selling $1300 drawer systems that...

House battery charging via solar, alternator, OR generator.

I work around it by unplugging the charger then plugging it back in after a bit. When it's restarted like that it'll go ahead and charge the battery up. Make sure to unplug\re-plug the night before you plan to leave and you should be good.

Battery charger or tender choices? Simple?

I have experienced this firsthand on more than one occasion. Specifically when staying in a campground with hookups. We didn't spend much time in campgrounds, but on 2 occasions when we were "plugged in" for 3-4 days I found that my batteries were all but dead when I was ready to leave. As far...

Battery charger or tender choices? Simple?

I would not recommend a NOCO for lithium batteries. They do not float and will let your batteries run *way* down (around 12.7 volts) before charging again. This means you can have the unit plugged in but find your batteries basically empty when you are ready to leave. NOCO calls this a...

DC/DC Charger for both Tow Vehicle and Trailer

Yes, the Redarc BCDC 1212 runs right through the standard 7 pin and works really well on a pair of 100AH batteries. Really simple and no fuss. However, it does not work as a shore charger or solar charge controller. You still need separate devices for those applications.
