    Which LR3 to buy?

I may be making it more difficult but $200 to upgrade maps from 2008 version to 2011-12 version without hope of likely future upgrade means it is basically obsolete. The added bonus is that even with the IdTool you can cannot edit the program to enter directions while moving. I think that...

    Which LR3 to buy?

If you have any desire to take off road make sure the LR3 has 18" wheels ... this knocks you out any HSE in which the former owner did not take it off road. I bought a great condition 2008 HSE and then the first $600-700 was buying new rims one at a time on eBay. You have poor tire choices...

    Lr4 roof racks

I have FrontRunner Slimline II on my LR3 ... no interference with XM Radio, Make note that other brand ladders may not fit with FR SL2 rack so definitely check that out if you have a ladder already. Ditto on noisiness. Between this and off road tires this is no longer a mall rider...

    First mod to an LR4?

I have LR3 ... I took on advice from this forum and was very happy with the choice and the order - I would not have changed anything except maybe getting ID Tool earlier (after tires). I am sure that this was suggested and I ignored it. I got rods used for $80 on ebay and then sold them a year...

2006 LR3 traction control engaging around corners

Maybe this helps ... I had same issue on my 2008 with 265/65-r18s. It was only on 2 turns on my normal routes so I really just lived with it. However, after I replaced my tied rods (which were really shot), sway bar bushings, and got my alignment done I no longer have the problem. BTW, I was...

    LR3 trail spares

How about PDF version of the repair manual? I just downloaded one off eBay and it seems it could be helpful. I am finding myself saving parts I replace and putting in oem replacement box with SPARE written on it and mileage on them. Tie rods might be easy ones to hold onto. I did not see...

LR3 owners sound off, which tires?

I got a very used 265/65r18 under my 3 without too much effort other than deflating to about 20 psi.

    Suspension Fault

Suggest reading multiple posts from this forum before sinking big $. I have had warning light central twice. This forum and many folks responding saved me big (Colo disco and Victory Overland gave me great advice amongst others). Soon after getting my vehicle (2yrs ago) I had had issues and I...

LR3 Tire Size to prevent rubbing

You may need to consider a lift. Look at JOHNSON rods or Rhino rods. You'll need an alignment done to save tire wear but this will likely help. These are inexpensive. I have 265/65r18 and have zero rubbing. You're simply at the edge.

    LR3/4 Steering Vibration issue

Dealer told me right inner tie rod needed replacement but I can turn both sides by hand (twisting). The seals on the outlets seem ok but do not seem full of grease. Debating whether to simply replace inners and outers or replace the inners only. This is with weight on the wheels and normal height.

    LR3/4 Steering Vibration issue

DSM ... I am amidst some suspension work myself (see LR3 Suspension help). Sway bar bushings all around have helped but not cured. Same thing, vibration, especially during braking at 40mph+ (Not every time). Pretty sure it tie rods. I'm going to do full kit on both sides. Any tips? Special...

Dual battery install on my 2009 LR3

I used a deep sea ACR, very happy with it. Simple. Also added my own volt meters on dash. I would like to improve my mounting bracket; which is unpictured.

    LR3 Sway Bar Bushings

Findings continued ... Btw: I used OEM "G" part numbers from Atlantic British So you're going to need 13mm, 15mm, 18mm wrenches and your favorite prybar. You may be able to get by without a 13mm offset wrench (a Atlantic British video recommendation which I followed) but I'm not sure how you...

    LR3 Sway Bar Bushings

I did both front and rear sway bar bushings this weekend. I had some suspension issues that somewhat cleared up after an alignment (see LR3 Suspension Help thread) but I still had other items to correct. Lots of knocks over bumps in the road and shimmying upon braking. I corrected most of my...

    AIR SUSPENSION TRANSFER RELIEF VALVE

I was successful in removing, diassembling and rebuilding my front valve block. No rebuild kit, just cleaning and reassembling. This was gratifying, but did not really address the root cause. It was followed a few months later repacing the rear valve block (which Is really hard to get out)...

    LR3 Suspension Help

Update and issue closure: Dealer performed 4 wheel alignment, cleared faults, wheel sensor reset and height calibration which cured all my issues for $300. They found intermittent air compressor failure and that cost me $200 to identify. I put a reman oem compressor in the truck within the...

    LR3 Suspension Help

Only hard off roading - I do not remember slamming anything "tire on" but anything is possible. At near 6300-6400 lbs you do not need to be moving too fast. Visual inspection underneath did not reveal anything. I spent a lot of time under there cleaning up electrical connectors and cannot...

    LR3 Suspension Help

I thought my mechanic straightened wheel/steering wheel when he reset the sensor. It had no affect anyway. As far as brake sensor, I did not depress brake pedal during installation. I also went and checked F15 fuse which was ok. Thinking at a minimum, I will need to go get a proper alignment...

    LR3 Suspension Help

Update: Brake light switch installed and a hard reset ... to zero affect. Still need to finsih checking connections on height sensors. Looks like a trip to the dealer (or LR specialist) may be inevitable if I cannot find something amiss with any electrical connections.
