It really irks me that I can’t import a 2016 Defender or a lower spec diesel 200 or LC79. Good ole land of the free.

If they would offer some more basic trim levels Toyota could make a killing especially if they brought in the D4D.

I really hope Classic Defender prices tank especially a clean ROW 110 LHD.

    Defender 110 build

The Defender with the SC 5.0 and 35” sand tires on 18”s and a modified exhaust would be amazing in the dunes. Then again almost 600hp in a 4wd would be amazing anyway.

Price would be my main reason for not getting one. They’re more expensive new and used than the equivalent Defender.

I agree. If I want sunlight and air roll the windows down and open the sunroof.

Gonna be honest though no 4wd is as sexy as a Classic Defender.

On the older trucks it was about an inch increase IIRC for fully extended.

Even if you can program it I doubt you’ll be able to start the vehicle. That sucks. Land Rover’s new activity band makes good sense now.

    Defender 110 build

Yeah if JLR put their 5.0 SCV8 in it the Defender will be amazing. I would be less excited if it gets the BMW V8.

How is a 32.1” Duratrac on a 18” wheel a rubber band tire?

Exactly the idea is to be well under not right on the line. Four adults is around 800lbs, a winch and roof rack is an additional 150-200lbs. Rock sliders are 100-200lbs a Roof top tent is 85-150lbs full tank of fuel is 120ish pounds. That little bit could be up to 1,470lbs. That’s assuming you...

What’s your MPG? What size tires do you have? Do you have a bull bar and winch and a roof rack also how many people do you carry? A Disco 3 with 4 adults a ARB bumper and winch as well as a roof rack, rock sliders, rear bumper with full size spare, and full tank of fuel is pretty close to...

If I was purely going to use it off road I would buy a Jeep. As a off road vehicle and daily without towing I’d buy the Bronco. If I wanted a off road vehicle as a daily that could tow I’d buy the Defender. I also wouldn’t buy any of them new and I have a feeling they will be a lot closer second...

IMO you can never have too much payload especially if said vehicle is a daily. I’ve gotten really close to my max payload on the Disco 3. Which is like 1600-1800lbs IIRC.
