Jeremy,
Awesome blog so far. Make sure you hit the market in Chichicastenango before you leave the Atitlan area unless you already have. Market is on Thursday and Sunday I believe. Great stuff.

In the mud in Central America you will find that throttle control is by far the best measure of whether a vehicle will make it through. Much less to do with vehicle dimensions and options and much more to do with driver ability. Rut cannot be avoided, but they can be overcome if driven...
Paul, Ben,
Looking forward to it! Angela just got my flights for Ruins & Rainforests sorted. James and I have a great route planned that may involve some pretty heavy jungle work. Make sure your winches work.

This test had nothing to do with Overland Journal. It was done at the request of Paul and followed what I had done on the OJ tests, but this was not for OJ. This was information purely for Paul at his request. The fact that he decided to make it public is completely his and should have no...
Great stuff, thanks for putting the effort in to post it. Can you give some insight in how you planned water supplies for your desert trips? Did you have to take all water with you (assuming so since you were not concerned with navigating to a point)? Are there wells that can be used for...
So to clarify:
The different ambient temps in the tests favor the Indel B. The fact that the Indel B was not able to beat the National Luna even when operating at lower ambient just shows how good the NL is. The Indel B performed on a par but slightly above the ARB in most cases. If the ambient...

We left the highway in Green River Utah and made our way down to...
Awesome! Welcome to the forum. If you have any questions on what I've done and why, don't hesitate to ask. That's a beautiful example that you have as a starting point.

I've lived in (around) a D110 for 9 months with my wife. She just as much up for less stuff as I am. Of course she is one of the rare women who actually participates in this forum . . .
The living in or living around question is very high in our minds, though. If we decide to live in it will...
Ben,
You might want to edit your post and put a space between the url and the smiley; clicking on the link includes the smiley code and fails. I'd do it for you, but my admin privileges have been downgraded.

Perfect size for me and my wife is a D110, but we can easily get away with a RRC at 100 inches wheelbase. Anything bigger is just silly (for us). I used to lust after a 130, but now realize there's no need for the extra size; we are very comfortable with what we have.
cheers
