I would ditch the Thule, this is way more modular and hold up to 600 lbs. it's solid as a rock. I have one on my FJ and it's a solid investment.

Paul at Equipt carries Escape Gear. I just got mine do the FJ last week. Top notch stuff.

The Pronghorn bumper is made of aluminum and weighs about 40 lbs and it is modular. It's also made in USA.

Just finished this one up today. It's Line-X'ed now but not in the picture. The top drawer is removable and is modular to hold water cans or Alu-Boxes. I will get some more pictures later.

The new front runner slide is 267 bucks, which in my opinion is a really good price for what it is. I have one, and it's a really nice slide. Even though the new one looks a bit better.

I full piece of plywood is the way to go. Here is a pic of mine. If you mount it on the left hand driver side you will be able to lower your back seat and a larger area for big gear. It took me about 4 hours to cut and line up the hole to bolt it directly to the factory mounting holes. Good...

Depending on how any poles you have, I use kettlebells. I have a slew of them and use 35 lb and up. Have never had a problem with any winds up to 40 mph. You can see it in the photo below.

If you don't mind lowering the seat, I would imagine it would fit.
