As mentioned above, you probably could... but I think you will be better served to get your fresh air for the combustion outside. Simple enough to poke another hole in your nicely sealed and water tight camper...lol. I personally would get it from outside, to stop it from stealing the heated air...
There are some pretty cool exhaust options made for marine use, and almost all are good quality stainless. As for the intake, that could also be a similar type of fitting, but I am not sure about that one.
Just a quick example of what I am talking about. I am looking at doing this for my camper...
Hey there Heavyweight... love the build!
I have not been following this (I wish I had been) as I have not been on here much lately, but man this looks pretty great! I have a question for you about your roof design. It appears from the pics that I saw, that you have a small lip all the way...
Might as well upload the rest of the pics I have on hand, while I am here. heh
I have been picking away at a few other things as well as the roof work. Some small interior tweaks and some electrical. The marker light wiring on the roof edges was NFG when I wired them in, and I had hoped I could...
Well now... it has been a while since I updated this post. I must admit, I have put this project on the back burner more than it ever was on the front burner...heh. Life continually finds a way to get in the way of all of my fun. Having said that, I have made some additional progress, and am...
Watched your newest vid this morning with my coffee and breakfast Dan. Good stuff, and that panel install looks great! You are doing a trip I have thought about many times, I still need to get myself to AUS before I am too old to enjoy it. heh
Looking forward to all the updates. Thanks for...
After thinking about it for 2 years, the fabric is here. Window covers, rear awning and camper pop-up sides. Looks great, really nice job. I have all the aluminum and screws in hand to install it now too so all that is needed is... well, the doing. Should be back at it this week, hand is 'good...
Just got the call... Fabric is done, and being dropped off tomorrow. Sadly, I have been hard down with this stupid finger surgery for the past 2 weeks, so no work has been done. Camper is still in pieces... ugh. I am probably 4 days worth of work away from installing the fabric. But that 4 days...
Man... that sucks Victorian. I am sorry to hear that the haters and the trolls are making this place somewhere that you cannot be yourself. I know you are a helpful and giving person, and one of the nicer people I have met in the past few years. If there is one thing that I have found out in the...
Wow, this build is epic. I am really liking the way this is turning out and the overall shape and aesthetic is really functional and rugged looking. Well done!
Did some more work a couple of days before my hand surgery. After cutting off the wood sides, I needed to re-structure the sides. I ripped up some nice solid Douglas Fir and filled in the gaps where the insulation was now exposed. I used a router to trim the foam out and set the wood in 3/4 x...
Thanks ITTOG. Went well, hurts like heck! I am pretty sure I will be out of commission for at least a week. And the fabric should be ready Monday... FML
I forgot to add pics of the upholstery. This is 4" HD foam with Marine Grade fabric. I like the colour and how it is sort of neutral enough to blend in... hard to see in this light however, it was dark and these are taken under LED roof lights with the lid closed. heh This is with the cushions...
So... some progress, finally. Laine, the marine upholstery guy stopped by on Friday to do some final measurements and planning for the canvas, and he dropped off the finished cushions and some additional fabric to wrap a few interior trim pieces. The fabric was stretched around the camper and we...
