Here are a few pics of what I have. I definitely think you could source your won setup for less money. I was lucky and found it second hand for a great price. My only issue with it is i have to reach over my head to reach the remote for the winch at the height it is at...

This is the system I have, and my ceilings are 17.5'. works great. Ill try and send a picture of it if I get a chance. I have the powered winch part mounted up in the corner where the wall meets the ceiling, running over to a set of pulleys mounted in the ceiling that lift the hoist. Works...

I love my jeep.. It is perfect (to me) for what I need it for. I can think of nothing better for the job. That cruiser is SWEET! I bet that trip across Australia in it was amazing! Kind of Apple to Oranges though. I think in reality, each has their strong suits.

The reason why I threw out the 37" ko2 is that it is just over 35" mounted. Oh, and they weigh less than the 35" trail grapplers too... Do note, that I am one of those guys who hasn't "upgraded" my axels because I have never seen anyone break one in my presence... Now that I have said that out...
