Modding a Wrangler to Match Land Cruiser Reliability?

Everyone on this thread would likely drive a 200 series if they could afford it. I would.

That is a grossly ignorant statement. "I would do something therefore everyone would."

I could afford to drive a brand new JKUR, a TRD Pro 4Runner or Tacoma, or a Ford Raptor. Instead, I chose a 2000 XJ, a 2003 TJ, and a 82 waggy. Not everyone wants glitz and glam. A lot of us still like vehicles that force us to adapt and learn how to drive them. Modern stuff adapts to you so you don't need to know how to drive.

I'm just going to say coming from the Land Rover sections that this entire thread has been thoroughly enjoyable to read. Makes the LR and G-Wagen sections look like one of those Victorian clubhouses where everyone just sits, reads the paper, and smokes in silence. Thank you all :********:

That's funny. An 82 wag was glitz and glam when it was made.

So you wouldn't trade your 2000 XJ, a 2003 TJ, and a 82 waggy for a 200, JKUR, a TRD Pro 4Runner or Tacoma, or a Ford Raptor???!!!

hahahahhaahah

Honest to God, no. The Waggy and TJ both have unmeasurable sentimental value to me and I just flat love the XJ.

It's amazing the following of a knock off product has grown over the years.

OK fan boys, this is a simple test. Rubicon trail...stock.

If you need a different one suited to your new image, Starbucks at 6.

What's a knock off product? Have you ever been to the rubicon? I have. Plenty of stock vehicles make it no issues.

Knock off eh? I see you're ability to research something is still a foreign concept ;)

The same US government that spec'd and put Jeep on the table... Also put Toyota and subsequently the Land Cruiser on the table: http://www.toyota-global.com/showroom/vehicle_heritage/landcruiser/origin/

Is the Rubicon (yes I've done i) the ultimate test for an Overland platform??? Why stop there, why not King of the Hammers. About like saying NASCAR is the ultimate test for a rally car. Lol

Personally I think its silly that we are arguing about this a) because its way off topic from the original question and b) we all know the most rugged vehicle ever made is a toyota.. The Hilux. I mean, why else would it be the "Scum of the world's" choice of ride all over the globe? :sombrero:
