    F150 - 5.5' vs. 6.5' bed?

I have a 6.5 tundra. I could easily live with 5.5. I even haul a lot of landscaping tools to care for my business property. I can't reach that extra foot in the front of the bed anyhow. I keep a pole with a hook on it just to grab items that have slid forward. 5.5 with a leer cap would be...

    Laws Regarding Aggressive Animals

I can't see any of these scenarios. You have quite an imagination. In your original post you ask, "when you can use lethal force against an animal that may be destroying your vehicle or equipment and you are not able to chase them off." Does this happen? And if it does, isn't the answer obvious?

    Is my Jeep too heavy?

LOL, I was equating what I need to be as comfortable as I'd be in a RTT. Without a cot and inflatable pad, I'd have to add in the cost of a helo evac to get me home. This thing changed my whole experience

    Wire for remote winch controller

^^^^So my length will be less than 5 feet, so I should use 0 gauge wire from the welding store. My question was really just, is there something about THHN wire that makes it not suited for this purpose, other than the fact that it stiffer? Got my answer!

    Wire for remote winch controller

Thanks for the ideas. The closest welding supply is an hour away, so is there any reason this wire won't work? I have a crimping tool like this.

    Wire for remote winch controller

I am helping a buddy. He has an old Warn 8000lb winch. The controller is a separate box connected to winch by (3) ~12" 2 AWG wires. We want to relocate the controller under the hood. We'd need 3 cables ~60" long to put it where we want it. Lowes sells this 2 AWG wire, but it is rather stiff. I...

    Is my Jeep too heavy?

I'd seriously consider loosing the RTT and then packing like a backpacker. Ultra light, multi function gear. You could be far under the max weight. It would teach the kids some decision making too.

Prescription eyewear for adventures and sports? (hiking, skiing, biking, etc.)

After I lost a pair of $500 prescription glasses while kayaking, I went to Wal-mart. They have "motorcycle" glasses. It has a rubber cushion on the inside. It does not touch your face but gets close enough to block wind. I use them on my ATV all the time. The pair I bought also has a...
