North American 4dr models only got the 2nd row bench seat. Some overseas 4dr models got a 3rd row jump seat. Similar to the Gen 2, 4dr, 3rd row jump seats. These 4dr models also got sliding rear windows. I sold the windows years ago. I still have the jump seats.

In my Gen 1, I modified a steel tray to fit above the visors. I had to relocate the visor mounts to the underside of the tray. I used the visor mounts and the rear view mirror mounts to hang the tray. The tray had a lip on the front and rear edges. It was very handy.

When mine went bad, I used double sided foam tape. The tape kept the foam in place. I did have to clean some places so the tape had something to attach to.

Can you get a trailer hitch for your Gen 2? It might cut down the departure angle, depending on it's location.

The service manual should have connector locations. If it shows any connectors between the fuse and the tail light, you can disconnect the connector. That would help narrow down where to look for the short.

To answer one of your questions - Yes, both rear brakes have one bleeder on the passenger side caliper. Be sure to keep the "hazard" switch from the second truck. Thanks for starting this thread. It's good to see a Gen 1 being cared for.
