:Wow1:
Over 1500 views in about a month. Hopefully some people are enjoying my simple build and getting ideas or just like the entertainment.
:coffee:
Lol
In all seriousness though, this is a amazing site with SOO many neat and interesting people and ideas. Thank you to anyone who...
Thank you! I actually didnt change the height at all. Just swapped the sway bar links. I still have the factory 1" Upcountry springs with 2" spacers/add-a-leafs.
Thanks so much! I appreciate all the feed back. :D
The black steelies I have are just "stock" looking ones. I saw this picture online and kinda liked the utilitarian look of the rims and tires. Obviously I would NOT go as big as far as tires go.
The ones I have are almost exactly like those...
Thank you! Yeah, once spring hits (since I dont have a shop) Ill probably do the "s-10 pack" mod for the rear springs. Ill probably just run the stock springs/spacers up front for awhile.
Ill have to look into the JK shocks.....my local CL is kinda a dud when it comes to that stuff.
As of this post, it is officially up to date to where I am today.
Here are updated side shots of my new sway bar angle.
As you can see, they are a MUCH better angle. It may be slightly high, but the links are for 3-5" lifts and I am at the bottom of that.
More stuff in the mail...
My 97+ parking brake handle....the turnbuckle I originally used just wasn't cutting it. It worked fine for awhile but it kept having to be adjusted since obviously the turnbuckle itself is adjustable as well as the linkage to the actual brake cables.
I ended up using rubber-coated steel cable...
I finally got the turbines and second set of tires from the PO shop. I swapped them out. Im kinda liking the look of the turbines so far, although I wonder if I could sell the turbines for more $$$ than the black steelies.
One of the tires is pretty bald :Wow1: so honestly....I just...
Update!
I went to the Pull-N-Save second location. It was a pretty decent haul. I got:
-new lower shift boot (mine was cracked several places)
-newer shift knob from a Suzuki (Sidekick/Samurai?)
-factory switch and bezel to move my rear window wiper and defroster together so I can put switches...
Sweet build so far!
Sub'd!
What kind of rear bumper/carrier is that? Are you happy with the ARB bumper so far? I would LOVE to get a hold of one of those.
Thanks stolz! I thought the same thing lol.
I would recommend it if your lower body is rough, or really clean. Seeing as how my rockers are rust free, I wanted to keep them that way.
Well I've gotta say, ........this weekend was a HUGE success because I got several things done on the Jeep.
First off, I got the center console air duct fixed so now I don't have weak rear air for any passengers. All I did was cut 1 1/2" off of the '91 air duct and attached it to the front of...
I thought they were something like that. Honestly....how'd they do for ya? Did you ever upgrade to something else or did they work fine for what you run?
AWESOME XJs btw!
:D
Sub'd!
Thank you! Yeah if I had a choice I would have gotten a 97+ 4 door because I love the newer style of them, but this became available and I bought this from a family friend for a steal.
:D
