i have one of those jacks from norhern industrial. it worked great for my 85' transam but when i came time for a 72 wagoneer, i thought it was not quite up to the task of lifting it. I would not use one for a full size truck unless i was on a concrete floor with jack stands.

i may have to go take a look at this thing! its going ot be early feb. before I get back down there though.

s-class cable chains may be your best option on an X. That is what i use on my 1/2ton.

how about "sandhurst" or "hawkeye"

what kind of relays? It may be that the relay is looking like a short to the battery when it is switched on. Do you have a wire diagram of your lighting system?
