I have had the power steering burp from overheating on brutal roads where I am driving like a jack ass but Ive not had the problem you describe.
Maybe add some dye in case it happens again ?
Thanks for the heads up on the screen. Was a bit concerned that someone had already been in there.
The oil change did the trick. With my new pressure sensor it's back up to +/- 40 at idle and 50+ with increased rpm.
I understand that oil wears and all that but I've been using synthetic and did...
First try an oil change even if you are not due for one
These tiny oil filters get clogged very easily and this shows up as low oil pressure
Next look into the infamous o ring
Oh and I am pretty sure your 5.3 should not have that little screen under the oil pressure sender , that is for engines...
Tire size
Tire size
Tire size
Honestly that is the biggest reason I have not bought one yet
My Express AWD is way better in the sand than it has any right being but I have 30 inch BFG KO2s and I air down to 20 psi
I dont understand why they made the tires so damn small and why everyone is so...
In sand air down all tires
You can run into problems airing down duals because they will touch and create friction
My understanding is that this is why singles are preferred off road
This is so important. There is no camper that should be rock crawling in my opinion.
I think having 4x4 is for getting across a few tricky obstacles that would stop a 2wd from getting to an amazing campsite.
This is so often the case in Baja. I will get out and slowly decide on a plan of attack...
Based on this I say dont get a 4x4
So many people never need it but still pay for it
Upfront cost is more
Insurance used to be more , not sure if it still is
Fuel is more
Maintenance is more
I would never pay the extra for AWD except for the fact that I use it all the time.
Even in Baja...
I have fiama and shady boy awnings for my westfalias but for my express I much prefer a tarp and shade cloth .
If you are creative, there are millions of different configurations for every possible scenario
I did the traxda 2 inch lift and level kit and bilstiens up front but have not addressed the rear shocks
On washboard road its really easy to lose the ass end.
I love mine. It does way better off road than an awd has any right to.
Good fuel economy
Plenty of power (I recommend not towing anything though)
I have 225k and it still runs like brand new, they have not been easy miles either, many of them in Mexico
Something is very fishy with that price, have you spoken on the phone with this person? Thats scam territory cheap. If its a real deal have it inspected and if the motor is not blown , buy it
There are cheaper options . I have been on the same fence you are
If you are anywhere near vancouver canada, and they open the border, you could try these guys.
Its much nicer to pay in canadian dollars

I could not find where it accepted an express van on the link you provided. If they had one that fit our vans , surely it would show up in the pop down menu right?
I did this one from amazon but be warned the price fluctuates wildly , I think I paid 150 a few years ago but the price would...
I would get a smaller compressor if its just for airing tires up . 2000w is really pushing it for a 15 amp draw and lord knows what that compressor draws at startup .
If the next thing down that you use only needs an 800w inverter you are really paying a lot to have the wrong compressor on...
Why is this a bad thing?
I have never had any problems with my van. If you are trying to get more power out of your 5.3, I would advise you not to.
300hp is already more than your 4L60E can take
I have one season in baja on the first ones you listed.
Love them and they made a huge difference for me but my OEM shocks were completely blown out when I replaced them so it was going from no shocks to the bilsteins
