12k for the tuffport? I thought they were half that.
I have the Express AWD and I love it but if I had to start with a brand new unit it would be a midroof transit in the shortest available cargo length. Then a quigley 4x4 conversion
Pre pandemic this was actually pretty reasonably priced

A five gallon bucket with peat moss and a little diatomaceous earth is all you need out west . Not sure how well that combo works in high humidity though
Any progress on the build? Sometimes they take years
This is the Yurtle problem I have been alluding to : How high is enough?
Two rooftop tents? One on top of the other?
That is just crazy and pretty sure you are going to have to put the smallest children in the highest tent because of top heaviness issues.

Next time I would suggest binge watching episodes of "Flight of the Conchords"
Works great for me on the beach in Mexico after a morning of poor fishing conditions
Really great looking bit of kit
If these had been around when I did my build I would have done a different design in my AWD express.
In fact this is so inspiring I might redesign a few things and see if I can make a hybrid layout work
Really nice work, thanks for supporting the community...

Ok you have me stumped.
What on earth could you possibly do with a PTO on a camper van?
I have never heard of such a thing in the commercial world either so I guessing this is going to be a tough thing to find.
Do you need it to be heavy duty like right off the transmission ?
The big problem is we have much different safety standards
The US and Europe have such different ideas about what is important safetywise that it has become almost impossible to design a vehicle for both markets.
Our vans are orphans as far as the aftermarket is concerned.
You can get a carpet kit for for every chevy van up until the very last body style change that includes the AWDs
