Not exactly what you're looking for...
But I'd say to get a 3/4 ton.
I drove 3/4 and 1 tons for 15 years, and got a half ton because it was sufficient for everything I was doing.
It was sufficient... But I didn't really like how it did anything but ride empty.
I went back to a 3/4 after...
I've typically (ok, pretty much always) had replacement bumpers on the front and rear of my trucks.
I like the sturdiness and utility. And look.
Bump and push things. Mount winches or lights.
I also drive 3/4 tons, so weight is less of a consideration.
Then you have to manage the trash... Washing dishes isn't that hard.
One of the few hard rules I have when camping is no disposable plates/utensils/cups. I can be flexible with the napkins. If you have a disposable plate, you're not eating anything I cooked.
A few friends have Diamondbacks. They're tough.
I had a Roll-n-Lock, I liked it a lot. Probably not quite as secure as the Diamondback, but I never worried. And almost full access to the bed.
