95 F350 Build - “The Warden”

Hey all… Happy Thanksgiving! Today I’ll be introducing, “The Warden” ??

This is a current pic and render of my 1995 F350 7.3L 2wd CCLB in XLT trim done by @the.overland.design

It has been in the family for nearly 27 years, bought by my father before me. Now it’s mine and it will stay in the family, but with a fresh breath of new life!

It currently has just over 200,000 miles on it, a 300hp 7.3L, and some other small goodies it’s obtained over the years. The plan is to 4wd swap it, give it a full restoration, and then build a log cabin for the back. Coupled with a smaller traveler trailer or my boat, this should be the ultimate camping rig ?

Any questions feel free to ask! ?

Engine mods so far ( they were done 10+ years ago ) are a high flow cold air intake, superchips tuner, slightly hotter injectors, 4” off the turbo exhaust.

It’s going to be on superduty springs and Bilstein shocks.

I’m going to use the current 10.25 sterling rear and a Superduty front D60 if I can’t find an OBS D60.

I'd look for a set of SD axles if you swap the front.

Bolt pattern is different, and the 05+ axles are 4" wider.

I’m not sure how each axle is in terms of mounting locations. I don’t want to have to weld up brand new mounts on the superduty axle ( if that was needed to make it fit )

Don't hold my feet to the fire on this one...

But I'm pretty confident that the 99-04 axles are pretty easy to swap into an OBS.

The 05+ may be a little bit easier for you because it already has coil buckets.

The 4x4 conversion will require some welding, just a matter of what you feel most comfortable doing.

If you haven't discovered www.competitiondiesel.com, there's a ton of info on swapping stuff. It's a pretty deep resource for less common tech information.

Took advantage of some Black Friday sales and got new badges ??
