Easter weekend PINS camping...
Got some new Bilstein 6112/5160 suspenders put on just in time for two night run down PINS. In convoy with Wes ('12 Tacoma DCLB towing a CJ-5), Colin ('15 Sequoia Platinum 4x4), and Matt ('97 ExPo Poster Truck)
Spotted this well-equipped (for surf...
Also wondering if you reused the OE front coils. Just last week I did the 6112/5160 upgrade to my '08 FJC using the 600lb Eibach front coils in the Bilstein kit, and the same Toytec Superflex 2.0 rear coils.
I went with the 4th slot up from the bottom for the front spring perch height...
I would not bet on it actually being waterproof, then again mine has always been inside the truck. I'm sure you could treat it heavily with your waterproofing application of choice, but there's the zipper to consider...
Off Road Trail Tools (ORTT) Barrel Storage Bag - http://www.offroadtrailtools.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=369
Best thing I've used so far. Doesn't prevent crushing, and it doesn't dispense like a roller, but you can squeeze two rolls in and it keeps them up out of the way. Velcro...
FYI... Their website's updates section has the following news.
RTIC's 2017 Products Line to be Rolled Out on or before May 1, 2017.
RTIC is excited to announce more details on the Company's rollout of its new 2017 product line.
The Company plans to sell its remaining 2016 Models for the next...
Yeah. After the FJ Cruiser debuted as a styling homage to the FJ40 I imagined how cool it would be if the (then) upcoming 5th-gen 4Runner was an homage to the FJ55.
That is brilliant re-purposing. I was just looking at an adjustable stem for my mountain bike and would have never though of this before, but for anyone wanting to follow suit but needing to adjust the angle slightly...
IMHO both the price and the trailer are too much.
The 1.5-ton rated M105 weighs about 2600lbs empty whereas the 3/4-ton rated M101A3 weighs more like 1350lbs empty.
I've got a buddy who just sold his really nice A3 for less than $1k, so I'd advise you to find a decent M101A3 or M1101 instead...
Oh, good God. My comment was merely to reflect that a common theme on manufacturer concept vehicles is small sidewall tires to emphasize large-ish wheels.
I would expect a real-world version to run a taller and more practical sidewall ratio if it ever got to production.
I forgive you for not...
That tire size is just standard concept vehicle over-sizing these days, so that doesn't worry me.
After all the '03 FJC Concept didn't exactly have 70-series sidewalls on its custom 'tonka-tread' tires.
General dimension question.
What are the widths of the Side and Rear doors offered on the 5x8 or 5x10 trailers? Is there a wider available rear door on the 6x10 model?
Also what is the height of the floor-level pass-through opening under the slide-out shelf?
I like this entertaining speculation - "...Not to get schadenfreude-y, but it'd serve @Ford right for taking so long with the new #Bronco if @Toyota stole their thunder with a new FJ..."

Wow, less than $20k? Guessing that will be the XLT and MAX variants will run a little more? That first looks like a doozy. MAX with kitchen and dual tip-out bunks?
Honestly I think the 'regular' PLUS model hits a sweet spot in size/weight, but I'll bet this dual-axle is gonna be popular...
A couple weeks ago I flashed my high beams at local bro truck with overly bright (probably just poorly aimed) blue lights and he lit me up with his lightbar. I had to literally close my eyes and hit the brakes.
What neither of us was aware of was the nice sheriff's deputy coming over the hill...
