I can't think of a single disadvantage personally.
Full delete gets rid of the cross over tube, depends if you need to get your vehicle commercially inspected they might not like you have removed emissions equipment.
But I believe in most people's cases it won't be a problem, my truck is for...
I just did mine, zero road time, but so far the bad studder...chugging and smoke at mid throttle are gone! A true miracle in my case.
But blocking the egr can reduce soot, engine temperature, and carbon build up as well improve turbo spool, mpg, and power.
Hey guys
Egr blocking plates should be ready to go next week. I have two options available
1st full kit, two 1/4" thick plates to cap off each end of the egr cross over pipe and new bolts and nuts, $60usd shipped in North America
2nd a 1/16" block off plate that fits between the cross over...
Just a heads up, I am making plates as we speak, a Set of 3/8 plates to replace each end of the cross over pipe and a 1/8 plate if you want to sandwich it in the manifold side and keep the cross over pipe for appearance that you still have emissions
Any one interested, please e mail me...
So I am still going to build something but I guess I need to know what people like.
I was thinking a 1/8 thick sandwich plate you squeeze between the cross over pipe and the exhaust manifold
And/or 1/4 thick plates that cover each end of where the cross over pipe mounts
I was thinking to just fully eliminate the pipe, but I have no problem going 1/4".
Or if you want to keep the pipe installed for that factory look I could do a 1/8" plate just on the exhaust manifold side
Going to get a set of egr block off plates made for my 05-07 4m50.
They will be laser cut from 3/8 mild steel. It would be approx 25$ usd.for the pair plus shipping.
Any interest?
Story of my life ha ha, I even bought a new assembly which was surprisingly cheap.
My original one both bleeders broke off.
I have yet to have it prime, but I was told that unless you have half tank or more it's hit and miss.
If course I do my maintenance whole in the e line lol.
But yes...
Yeah the wiring is by the fuse box secured to the harness with blue electrical tape
There is also all the wires for all clearance lights, and etc.
The diagram is on the body builders manual
Why why why when I go to edit, it deletes my post?

Ok thanks guys, I deleted them, I'll see what happens, I will be away from the truck for a few weeks.
I have had so many injector problems especially with number 4
Hey got some codes, they are past codes. I am not near my service manual, any one care to help decode these?
They are flash codes from pulling the diag fuse...

Ok I'll check the computer, I assumed for sure if it was low pressure it would set a light.
I do totally agree about the fuel, I pulled the fuel filter again and the bottom of the housing was lots of stuff and it was maybe 3000km old.
There was little rust chunks flakes and some sort of fine...
