Car seat fits very well in these and still allow the front seats to move back most of the way. And you'd be suprised how much stuff goes with a baby. We have 2 gen3's and they work well for that. Plus you can neglect it and it will still run.

On my 03 and 06 they are two part numbers. Black and grey connectors. Different wire lengths to iirc.
