Gen3's are very tire sensitive. The aussies have a ton of tire reviews for them. The chassis/unibody is so stiff that the tire noise transfers worse than most vehicles.
Yes and yes. Just not as often because most got replaced. My 2003 had the long bolt to my surprise. Also went 150k on the original water pump and belt with no issues.

They only come prepainted. I've been on the hunt for a tan one form my 06 for a year and a half. Don't want to pay prepainted price then pay to paint.
Aftermarket ones I've seen on trucks fit like crap.

3.8 is quite different than the 3.5, just undo the bolts through the cover into the PAS pump and AC compressor. Then slide the front cover sideways out. The pump and compressor don't come loose.

The rest are great trails. Mt Princeton hot springs is very nice too. My wife and I usually spend a couple nights there a couple times a year.
