Need portable power for my CPAP machine

The Resmed machines, I use an S9, actually run on 24 volts DC, so using the inverter your switching from DC to AC and back to DC, losing at least 20% of your available power supply. Resmed makes a 12 volt DC power supply that simply steps up to 24 volt, much more efficient. Available through...

Alternator power to camper, none to camper battery . . .

Most RVs use black positive, white negative. If you have a 120 to 12 volt converter I would look for the reverse current protection fuse in the converter.

What's the dynamic weight rating of the oem bars? That should be in the manual.

Gas or propane what do you like better?

As far as cooking goes, white gas stoves generate more heat than the average propane stove so they're better for boiling and cooking in low temps or at high elevations. For lights, we've pretty much switched over to led lanterns.

Camp Chef Mountaineer 2 burner stove

I had a CC Weekender for about 8 years, it was the first gen with the cast iron burners. I rate it above any other propane stove I'd previously used. I bought it because it was an easy hookup to the low pressure propane system on my pop up camper, but it had 3 cons that just seemed bug me more...

Dokio 200 watt foldable panel with controller

I have had the Dokio 100 watt panel for about a year, I've used it to keep my aux battery in my truck charged while running the fridge in the truck bed. only real test so far, it kept the G24 fully charged while parked for 5 days last March in BBRSP. I'm pleased with the performance of the...

    Relieve my ignorance

I seem to have answered my own question. The Baja series can be purchased with one of three different tents, the lightweight Ayer tent, the mesh screenhouse, or a heavy aluminized winter tent, attached to the base with a zipper. The other tents can be individually purchased and are...

    Relieve my ignorance

With geometry on the Wilderness rack and the narrow tailgate on the TJ I don't think that will be a problem. good thought, thanks for the input

    Relieve my ignorance

Basically, the clamshell models would cover my entire rack when mounted. With the standard yak bar mounts I would have about 2" clearance between the top rail of the rack and the bottom of the tent, with about 6" clearance between the rack floor and tent floor. I'd like to use that for some...

    Relieve my ignorance

Changing my thinking about the clamshell. Looking at the Tepui Ayer 2 and Baja 2. Either, opening to the back, should leave me about 28 inches at the front of the rack for other items. One concern about the Tepui tents is how much do you need to use guys on the window flaps, etc, in a...

    Relieve my ignorance

I'm thinking about buying an RTT for solo camping. I know nothing about them other than what I've seen on the web. Currently thinking of a clamshell like the Barraud Discovery or the Roofnest Sparroweye. This will initially be used on a Garvin Wilderness rack on my TJ. I prefer a hard shell...
