Van Epps Trail, Washington's North Cascades, first week in July. Heading up to the Pass Heading down from the Pass. Same general area.

When I asked panacea about heing me with a project, the mechanic had no issues in telling me he'd never done it before. I'm sure they'd have no problem laying the cards on the table for you in regard to Toyota expertise. They seem to be ad busy as can be, are not starved for work.

The van was built for shuttle/Sherpa duty first, overland duty second. Nice to climb in out of the cold winter Washington rain and change out of wet and/muddy gear. Surprised everyone, including me, at what a great overland vehicle it turned out to be.

I've only been to Panacea twice and they already call me by my first name. They came highly recommended and didn't disappoint. They're expanding, so must be a good sign. I'm retired, so to speak. If you get caught in a pinch, I might be able to shuttle you. I'm not too far from them.

My buddy bought a used low mileage cream puff of an '08 Klr650, all farkled for $3500 back in 2010. He's ridden the heck out of it and could still get close to that if he sold. As far as soul goes, big adv bikes certainly have their place, but none of them have soul. (But then my 2010 GG 450...

Tacoma? unique? There's not a memory card large enough to photograph all the off road Tacos around here that you'd see in one day. Around here, conservatives drive jeeps and liberals drive Toyotas, and I drive a soccer van.

How does the Legend compare to the Explorer? I'd imagine the shallow arch of the Legend gives it a slightly higher maneuverability rating than the Explorer's shallow V hull?

I see a lot more Astro vans when in Mexico than Jeeps. I guess that's proof that Mexico did not get the memo.

Yessir indeed. There are places to skimp, and places not to skimp. Don't skimp on recovery equipment. Back in '82 I was 17 yrs old. Got my f-250 stuck mud bogging . The mud was long enough that we had to hook a snatch em strap to a tow strap to a chain to reach the other guys truck on...
