If you've hit that many deer, it may be because you've mistakenly installed your deer whistles on backwards , and are thus calling the deer toward you instead of away from you. :ylsmoke:
Wow great convoy.
You have incredible vision, you see the potential in something that most people don't see then you've got the talent to modify that ordinary piece into something quite extraordinary to suit your needs. And they always turn out to be quite ************.
1. Pop top to sleep in.
2. Memory foam pad to sleep on.
3. Full size pillow.
4. Cooler
5. 4.3 ltr v6 4x4 van
Coming from a backpacking/kayaking camping back ground, this overlanding stuff is extremely luxurious in general. :coffeedrink:
Agreed.
There are so many things in life that we have no control over, and that just irritate us to no end. Why anyone would ever drive a car that doesn't excite them one way or another is beyond me.
I can't imagine you would have felt comfortable following us in the remote regions of Owyhee with your tires. Fishermans Rd hours of this super rocky shelf road up and over the pass from the reservoir to Succor Crk. The entire time I was thinking how glad I was to be in two month old, top...
I agree with the premise, no doubt, but of course you did not throw the tires away at 14k. For the sake of completing the scenario, how much did somebody else pay you for them?
Gotcha on the fit. Sorry for coming in late to the conversation and raising questions you've already covered!
Recovery points are one of the few areas I had professionally engineered and installed on my van. I've had two rigs scarred up from other rigs recovery points snapping off and hitting...
Either the factory fit and finish leaves a little to be desired, or you had to cut up the ARB bumper in order to fit the winch. Point is, it looks like it wasn't designed as a winch bumper.
Edit: I'm sorry, I don't want to sound like "that guy" on the internet, I seriously don't get it...
The only reasons I would add the weight and expense of an off road bumper are for the recovery points and to house the winch. Your ARB does neither? Just adds weight and expense?
From what I've seen, it's the best enduro in its class. Great performance specs for its class. I think it's 0-60 mph times are still 7.5 sec or something, even though it's a 300 pounder with only , what 30 hp?
I ride single track with a guy on a Yamaha 450 4stroke and just assumed it was the...
Old paddlers trick: Exponentially quicker than rolling straps up is to hold your hand in the palm up position and spread your fingers apart.
Lay the buckle end across your hand with the buckle hanging slightly out of your hand.
Begin wrapping the strap in a figure 8 around your pinky finger...
I realize the thread is a year old but I've never seen a van that was part Sportsmobile, part GTRV, and part home brew.
I was hoping you could explain a little about who did what, and review your experience with each company including their quality, price, etc.
Thanks,
T.Low
You'd better believe I do. They either try to look like they're not looking, or they give me the stink eye big time.
It's absolutely comical now because we try to call out which one it's going to be as we see a vanagon approaching, and I'm sure you know there are tons of them in Bellingham...
Wow. Absolutely perfect. Interior shots? Did you take it to Moab or was it not done in time?
I was in Mexico for a while and during that time my buds back home decided we were making an 11hr drive to explore Owyhee instead of the longer drive to Moab. If I get a Razor type, I'll be showing...
Super great rig. First class, and really like the color combination.
Imho, graphics are too distracting, 1) graphics take away from photos of the rig in awesome places rather than add to it, and 2) it's almost as if you are advertising to people what the vehicle is for because they can't...
