@Nikkormat sounds like you have a good start & experience from that first build!
Things I'd do different/sooner:
1) Keep things simple - in general, I got deep into a lot of tedious projects.
Although I'm real happy with how it turned out I think some tasks could've been simplified.

Moved up to the central coast a couple months back. Finally got the XJ up here and back as a daily.

Loctite PL S30 - A urethane sealant
Started using this stuff after replacing the windshield with the spec 3m windo-weld urethane.
PL S30 is a much cheaper construction adhesive but seems to share many of the qualities.
Scuffed & prepped both surfaces real good.
(There's some RV brand adhesives...

Yes, the build is still around. Life just got busy.
Little odds & ends in free time.
Finally got it on the road and in for smog & registration.
The previously completed AX-15 manual swap required a "new" PCM for the OBD II to be happy & smog-ready.
PCM / hardware is the same...

XJ Unibody Stiffening has begun.
Stitching everything in 1" increments, except for the full circle tie-in welds.
Alternating and taking time to keep the heat buildup down on the unibody rails.

Finally got the hinges dialed in and fitted for a test cycle.
Uses the new custom pop top scissor hinges up front and a trimmed westfalia stock push bar in the back.
