I’ve turned into a Fiberglass Junky LED Tail Light Housings are done. JCR and other make some solid metal ones, but nothing I’ve seen follows the body line as well as these stock Cherokee “replicas”

It’s an idea. I was only one layer of glass in though, so it was yanked before any real bulk of materials was use. Used it to test fit for everything, but it already has holes and cracks just from pulling with that thin of glass. Onward to the next chapter of this build

First top (post above), the vinyl ester didn’t kick as soon as the polyester I was used to. Alligatored the Gelcoat from wet resin sitting on it too long and ruined the whole part, and the surface finish of the mold (again). Had to pull it as a throw away. Since wetsanded the mold all again...

Although the plug and mold parted fairly well structurally, a good bit of paint from the plug yanked and stuck to the mold. Essentially ruining the polished mirror surface. Back to wetsanding. Most of the plug paint is knocked down with a wet 400 as I call it a night. Will fix some other...

Finished fitment. Cardboard sandwiched in between all contact points. This provides some “give” to factor in the shrinkage and lifting of the resin, rather than risk distorting the mold.

40F ahahaha. Not really a winter camp. I was with a blanket, not a legit sleeping bag, and had it on low just to put it to use. I think it’d do quite well in an insulated Jeep. This is the smallest (2KW) model.

I’ll put something together on my site down the line. Would be great in this setup for a RTT, with a longer duct hose of course. It’ll be hard mounted in the Jeep down the line, I got a tight fit but it’ll be tucked in.

I angled the setup so it would vent away into the wind. It burns smoke the first couple minutes, then no complaints. I had a carbon monoxide and smoke detector inside too. Overkill, maybe? Stupid way to die, I’ll pass. All this gear is going in the Jeep anyhow, so I had it on hand.

@wjeeper talking on the 18v concept, I was happy with this setup. This is the $20 24v to 12v I used, along with an in-line fuse and a recycled battery prong from an old burnt up drill. May do a write up, if I ever document it and finish all these projects. Nice to have as backup power or a...
