Cellular Booster / WiFi Booster install....Done!

I know some boosters have a wire antenna that is made to have the end on the seat headrest. I've heard of people putting an adhesive Velcro button on the end of the antenna and putting another Velcro button on their phone case to get the antenna as close to the phone as possible.

It's a morphed word created by joining "tactical" and "cool", usually referring to expo gear with a military bent.

Subaru owners: Let's see your expedition rigs!

What is the loaded weight of your Subie compared to the factory GVW. Great design on the bumper BTW!

Soooo....I got stuck! Any recovery advice?

Using the hi lift with the lift mate attachment allows you to connect directly to the spokes of the wheel. Using a large base under the jack, you can lift each wheel and fill underneath, or place maxtrax there.

    DD with kit or without??

I keep a pack in my dd with a wool blanket, knife, flashlight, fire kit, 3 liters of water and 3 mre's. The clothing depends on the season. Also has a small first aid kit, sharpened E tool, and a 2m ht. My dd is my work truck, and I'm all over the western half of OK.

I was just being smart ***** about the patches. As long as the product is durable and works the brand makes no difference to me.

It works but it doesn't stay on long. 1 or 2 washings at the most. I got a great deal on some gortex bibs and a shell at Bass Pro at a Black Friday sale. I just need to find some Ex-Officio patches large enough to cover the Bass Pro logos. [emoji38]

The Dickies are perfectly fine. For wind and rain, get some waterproof bibs to go over them. I wouldn't worry about expo approval status. [emoji3]

If you were to start all over with a brand new truck, which would you choose?

Toyota used to offer their mini truck in 3/4 and 1 ton ratings. LR also made the defender 110 in 3/4 ton rating. Neither set any speed records though. A couple of times I've seen one dealer who specializes in Defenders buzzing thru Oklahoma on I 40 in a 110 pulling a trailer with another 110...

    Overland Journal: G-Wagen

I really don't understand companies like LR and Mercedes putting low profile tires on anything that is intended for off road use. My '04 Discovery came factory with lo pro 18's and I was scared to death of tearing up a sidewall before switching to 16's. Also some of the wheel sizes severely...

    Shower floor in the field?

We use a plastic pan from Home Depot that is made to fit under hot water tanks. I think it was $10. It has a pic fitting that was easy to swap to a hose bib. Connect a hose and channel the water away from camp. They are also made in aluminum.

    Winches!

The main reason we have one is my wife and I travel alone most of the time. We're not stupid, but sometimes $&@" happens. In some situations, it's also easier to tread lightly with a winch vs spinning tires.

    Shiftpod tent

Check out Pelsue ground tents. I used to carry one as a telephone cable repairman. They're tough as nails, and stand up well to high winds. No floor, but has wide snow/sand flaps around the perimeter. Same basic design as the one in this post , but cheaper and lighter.
