where are the Porsche cayenne expo builds?

I'd second the Toureg. All around a more capable starting point than the Cayenne, and still off the wall enough that it should satisfy your desire to not be main stream.

    Kamp Kitchn

It does not start with an "H", it starts with a "C", but not the "C" everyone knows and loves. It's buried in the deepest bowels of the internet in the oddest place. A place only nerds venture. It looks pretty promising, but I'm really turned off by the weight if thats correct. Especially if...

    Kamp Kitchn

Something on the internet. ;) Dont really want to broadcast it just yet, because I've only found one. I'm emailing with the guy now to get more info on it. Dimensions are similar but he claims the weight is roughly 30lb and that seems a bit much. I'll see if that's fully loaded, or dry.

    Kamp Kitchn

Remind me the dimensions and weight of the Kamp Kitchn. I "may" have found a more modern equivalent, but I fear it might be significantly heavier.

    Beef Basin, UT 06/10/11 - 06/12/11

Day 3 I awoke Sunday morning excited about getting to the “hard” part of our trip through Canyonlands via Bobby’s Hole and out Elephant Hill. So after tea and breakfast we broke camp and bit farewell to Ruin Park. Bobby’s Hole is a moderately steep hill made up of some ledges, boulders and...

    Beef Basin, UT 06/10/11 - 06/12/11

Day 2 Morning broke bright and warm and we lounged in the sun for a bit before getting underway around 10. We worked our way back out through the wash to the first creek crossing and I dipped into it like it was no big deal. Well I quickly found that the sandy hill was much softer than I had...

    Beef Basin, UT 06/10/11 - 06/12/11

Day 1 Friday started off by meeting up with Joseph (Utah KJ) at about 10:30am and making the journey to Moab where we stopped for lunch at Pasta Jay's. After topping off our tanks at the edge of town we continued on until we hit dirt off UT 211 at the beginning of the Cottonwood Canyon Road...

    Subcompact Overland Upgrades. '84 Subaru

Every time I see one of these GL wagons it reminds me of trips across Nevada and California as a kid to visit family. If I could find a clean one in Utah, I'd seriously consider picking one up.

    Samurai as Daily Driver?

Chirps the tires if you have the clutch out and under power. Just push the clutch in and coast around the corner. You get used to it.

    Dual Batteries in a WD21

I picked up a clean '95 WD21 Pathfinder about a month ago and I am beginning to outfit it for some backcountry exploring. With the addition of more communication equipment, off road lights, and generally piece of mind I'd like to set up dual batteries in it. I'm wondering if anyone has done this...
