switching from a 4runner to a full size?

thanks. sounds like most folks suggest the 2500/250. I'm unfortunately limited to one vehicle myself. i'll prob get the crew cab for my dog(s). having a camper in the back means I'll be doing a hitch or other rack for the bikes again, but it is what it is. i'm having a hard time deciding to get...

switching from a 4runner to a full size?

Not true. I have a selectable locker on my 4runner and 32’s. I broke a CV because there was only one way through and I didn’t have the clearance to not get stuck on my skid plate.

switching from a 4runner to a full size?

I won’t be camping or staying in hotels when snowmobiling. I live 15-30 minutes from a lot of fun sled areas. In winter, trailers are not allowed on the pass, but there is good sledding up there.

switching from a 4runner to a full size?

Sorry, didn’t see this one the first time for some reason. It’s usually just me and my dog. On longer trips I take multiple bikes. Like a long travel enduro, a gravel bike, and a shorter travel trail bike. Sometimes I have another person with me. I would like another dog, so it will probably be...

switching from a 4runner to a full size?

howdy folks. So i'm on my second 4runner. I've had a couple 4x4 vans, but it's been a while. had a couple old full size 2doors, but wasn't doing so much wilderness stuff or outdoor sports back then. my current 4runner is a 2019 TRD ORP. I bought it new two years ago, just hit 61k on it. Haven't...

anyone done long term #trailerlife with a teardrop or similar?

yeah, mostly because i've been procrastinating about making a decision about whether to get a trailer or van or settle down somewhere even temporarily. plus the weather's been nice so i've been able to be outside. I think i'm probably just going to get an airbnb or month to month near one of the...

anyone done long term #trailerlife with a teardrop or similar?

I agree with you about the folks that stay in their RV's the whole time they're camping. Don't really see the point. If you're going to just stay inside the whole time, why go through the hassle and expense of driving a **************** home to somewhere far away? teardrop sounds like a good idea for...

anyone done long term #trailerlife with a teardrop or similar?

my lift tickets are already paid for. Ikon pass I bought quite a while ago. I also do a lot of backcountry skiing, i.e. no lift ticket. doing a hotel once a week or so is what I've already been doing. it gets expensive. maybe a van or an airbnb then.

anyone done long term #trailerlife with a teardrop or similar?

what's up folks. I've been nomadic off and on over the years. I never manage to stay in one apartment longer than 6 months. In March, I lost my job to the pandemic and hit the road. I've been fully nomadic since then, although I'm now working remotely. For most of the last 6 months, I've been...

    Tacoma vs 4Runner TRD Off-Road

Sorry. A google search says I was told wrong. Texas apparently. Although moving to Mexico. Either way, the 4runner build quality is better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tacoma vs 4Runner TRD Off-Road

FWIW, I believe the 4runner is made in Japan vs the Tacoma being made in China, the 4runners are better build quality. I’m also a mountain biker. I appreciate being able to put my bike inside the vehicle and have it secure. Bikes gets stolen off of hitch racks and out of truck beds where I...

    4Runner or JLU

I can't comment on the jeep other than constantly seeing them broken down on the side of the road, but I have a 2019 TRD ORP with KDSS. it's my second 4runner. I've put 20k miles on it since late November. Have done a bunch of Moab trails, plus the AZBDR and NMBDR. Mine is still stock other than...

mattress for the back of a 4runner?

Yeah I’ve thought about doing something like that and putting storage in the floorboards back there. My dog seems to do better with a seatback while we’re driving but maybe she would get used to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

mattress for the back of a 4runner?

thanks. yeah, I have the seat bottom taken out on the side I sleep on. I may have to just take them both out and let my dog get used to not having a seat back to lean against. I don't like air mattresses. I find them to be cold and noisy. plus dog claws and air mattresses are a bad combo.

mattress for the back of a 4runner?

what are people using for a camping mattress, for those of you that sleep in the back? I had these bamboo mattresses that were great but they got very packed down and are super uncomfortable now. I'm not currently planning on doing a raised platform build. I usually keep the passenger side rear...
