I agree. Too many people are trying to sell used stuff for only a few bucks less than you can get it online. Why wouldn't I want to wait a couple days and get something with a warranty for about the same price?

I moved the probe to the center of the fridge and now it's reading 2 degrees under the set temp. Still a lot better than my Waeco. I think I had to adjust the settings by 8 degrees to get the thermostat to match the interior temp. With the Waeco I used a temperature probe in a bottle of water...
Yeah thanks, brain fart.
Also the thermostat seems more accurate than my Waeco. I bought a Accurite wireless thermometer today and put it in the fridge. The sensor is in the top third of the fridge and it reads 34 and it's set at 32. I'm going to set the probe lower in the fridge to see if...
I received my Engel B a couple days ago from the Truck Fridge Tacoma group buy and used it yesterday to go to Costco. It's the 51QT model and has a slightly smaller foot print than my Waeco 51 and is slightly taller. It worked fine, keeping my food frozen in the 110 degree weather. Build wise...
I ordered mine over the weekend and was a little worried when I got notice that it shipped and PayPal credit showed the full price charged. They credited me back the difference though.

There are truckstops that have places to dump sewage. Some rest areas as well. Also camp grounds. How big is the toilet? I wonder if it would even hold two weeks worth. I have one similar to the one pictured and the first time we used it it filled up in about 4 days. I do think my daughter...
I had a pair of Crocs that I used to wear around the house and to get the mail. Then when I was in Namibia last summer I saw a guy wearing a pair of Croc Swiftwaters. When I got home I bought a couple pairs and have been wearing them almost every day since then.

The item numbers for the coolers are:
26qt: 49229405
52qt: 49229404
73qt: 49229408
Enter them into the Walmart app and search by store. It should tell you if they have any. I don't know how accurate it is.

What I did is get a Goal Zero Yeti 400 battery pack. I plugged that into the car and the fridge into the Yeti. When I'm driving, the car charges the Yeti. When I'm parked the Goal Zero has enough power to run the fridge for two days or so.

I used some when I went to Southern Africa. They seemed to work well, but it was early winter so there weren't a lot of mosquitoes about. I used some that looked like leather bracelets. The only problem I found was once the bag was opened you couldn't get away from the smell. I resealed them...
I have a couple of the Radio Shack ones. They can be picked up on craigslist or in thrift stores cheap. But if you don't want to search around, the one on Amazon looks good.

I couldn't get the MFJ Antenna to work so I got a bulkhead connector and drilled out the hole on the Teraflex Antenna Mount and installed the antenna. SWR is great now.
Thanks for all the help.

I bought my Diamond about 3 years ago I think. It's been sitting in the garage since then waiting for me to get a radio installed in my Jeep.
I ordered a MFJ 1414 antenna and it arrived yesterday. It has a stud mount so I thought it might work even though I heard kind of bad things. I...
Good suggestions! Keep them coming.
I bought my tablet used so even though it's an LTE, it's not a phone. It was just a cheap tablet for using in the car. I like the Road ID though and might download it onto my iPhone.
Thanks,
Chad
I know this has been asked numerous times before but I don't know if I've seen all the threads or if they are still current. I picked up a Asus Memo Pad 7 LTE today for $40 and am downloading apps on it for use in my Jeep. So far I have GPS Tool, PDF Maps, BackCountry Navigator, Anrdozic, a...
I don't know where the U.S. distributor of National Luna gets his units, but in South Africa they cost half of what they cost in the U.S. I don't know what we are getting in the U.S. to justify that price. I like my Dometic/Waeco fridge. It's cheaper than an Arb but very good quality.
