Yeah but that will be years of saving up for good parts. I don't have much extra money...hate to be towed home for skimping out on quality. But yeah thanks for the reply. I think medium duty will fine for now. As I start getting into gears and axles, then it might be time to upgrade to heavy.

Ok sounds good. What I like about OME is they only give you 2 options. Heavy or medium duty. I shopped for a long time finding a lift for my XJ. Bought it, never installed, sold it with the Jeep. :confused:

Mostly its a daily driver. Not even long commutes, just down the road a few miles to take the kids to and from school. Some weekends, a few fire roads, but I plan on using it more on trails when everything is ready. My jeep buddies keep inviting me to Anza-Borrego. So its a slow build...

The pics I've seen for a lift involves 4 coils and 4 shocks. Are the struts/coils you are talking about the same?

I know there's multiple threads on lifts and shocks, but I am confused about coils. I need shocks like corn needs the rain. Its becoming a safety issue throwing my truck around when I hit a bump on a curve. I shouldn't be drifting on the freeway bridge with BFG's KO2's!!! Heres what I need to...

I had those Nokian MT's on my Ford Expedition. Little road noise, couldn't tell you about performance, that truck was only 2wd. And my gen 3 Montero shocks are original from 01 so they are beyond shot out, but rides fine with new BFG KO2's.

Man I feel his pain. I switched from cigs to dip, then realized my gums were getting jacked so I just quit my Grizzly wintergreen. Must say it was easier to give up the chew than smokes tho.

My friend changed my brakes yesterday on a lift in his shop. He replaced the rotors and pads in the front. Didn't bleed the brakes, just pumped the pedal a few times after the job was done. Is this normal? I trust my friend, just remember my older cars needed bleeding. Also remember it was a...
