I was curious about if there was a difference in power between the two. I looked it up and HP didn't change much from 2003 to 2017 but it did get heavier.
It really depends on what you are using it for but I have found that my Expedition with the fold flat third row actually offers way more utility than the Frontier crew cab with the short bed that it replaced. I can seat 8 people if I want or with the touch of a button fold everything flat and...
I tried to look up sales numbers as I thought you were way off. I could only find for one quarter of 2018 but you were just about right on. It didn't have the navigator or Cadillac sales but they probably cancel each other out. I agree that up until the current generation that Ford didn't...
There was a guy who had a black 3rd gen on here but I can't find the thread for it. Here is a build done by Stage 3 Motorsports. http://www.stage3motorsports.com/Stage-3s-2012-Expedition-5-4L-Project-Truck.html
At $12K, this is a great deal. I wonder if is because of the access cab or the fact that fewer people can drive stick. Hope you sell it soon. I loved my Frontier.
I was more trying to make the point that if people are selling their Ford E series conversations that are built out similar to your troopie for $35-100K, why is $65K so far fetched for people. You are right though that is probably closer to this Jeep build than a van...
I recently bought a used Expedition but in the search process looked at the prices for Suburban, Armada, Sequoia, ect. While the Sequoia might be the best of the bunch, you still have to pay the used Toyota mark up. If you are looking for a bargain, you are going to have a lot harder time...
Ironically in my research, one of the recommendations I read from several sources was to take it to Nissan rather than Jeep as Nissan makes the CVT for both companies and has more experience with its failures.
My wife and own a 2013 Jeep Compass with 68K miles on it. It is the 2.4 automatic with the CVT transmission. We are prepping to move from Idaho to Pennsylvania the end of September. I recently took it to a shop to have it looked at to see if there were in glaring problems before we took it on...
I realize this is the LC forum so not quite as applicable here as the drive train has a longer life span, but I am blown away by the number of people on this site that sink a huge amount of money and accessories into high mileage vehicles. I think I see this a lot more in the van forum, but I...
I bought a 2007 Frontier with that many miles on it a while back. Things that failed pretty quickly were the cruise control and fuel censor. They should be pretty obvious if they are working correctly however.
