I did this by making some mini "ISO' locks. The female portion welded into the camper frame. The male portion stayed in a socket in the flatbed. When camper was not on flatbed, the male part fit down into a recess so as to not be in the ways. They worked well.
One would think that placing the entire panel under a negative atmosphere would seemingly drive adhesive into the pores of both materials. The pores would be filled with 14.7 psi of air (typical atmospheric pressure). Drawing a negative with a simple regen blower would produce a vacuum of -10"...
I have a 2000 watt Honda genny that feeds into a 30 amp shore power circuit. Will be installing a Blue Sea solenoid to allow charging with truck engine.
I have two 200 AH AGM batteries and 800 watts of solar. The Mastervolt system I have installed works with lithium. I made the battery box large enough to install large Lithium batteries. I want to try the AGM batteries first to see if they can keep up. I have a 6 gallon 120 volt water heater...
Doors freely hinge down for access to 120 volt and 12 volt circuits. The rear of the Blue Sea AC breaker panel has live 120 volts power going to each breaker.
Snuck the toilet under the sink in an effort to make the wet shower as usable as possible. The proximity of sink to shower minimized the length of piping. I did not put a sink in the bathroom due to kitchen sink being right next to it. Did construct a little shelf for storage of bath stuff. The...
Went with Mastervolts new Combi along with their largest solar panel control. They have neat buss bars that are fused that keep the wiring clean and simple. Have room for two large batteries.
Added a pair of electric actuators that have feedback. Connected them to a motor synchronizer to get them to travel and stop at same speed. I am using a remote to control the drive.
Machined a plate of plastic to accept feet on microbe. I them made a couple of bungees to hold it down. Its secure without being built in. Made the opening larger to accept future larger unit. Thought it would be a good idea to make things serviceable.
They are from Southco. Requires a 2” hole. They have them with keyed locks as well. I have them on my electrical box, but am switching to the keyed units for safety. Pay attention to ones you order as there are different model numbers for for thickness.
Doors close with satisfying clunk.
Getting close to finish on my camper. Body is a combination of aluminum and composite. Twelve foot long with cab over. Cab over has a hinged tilt up section that provides roof access.
