1 inch goes to two and if you are not real careful you can cut into the inner fender liner in the back. i wish i had gotten a 4.5 inch lift and not had to cut the fenders. i have a 98 that i am starting now and i will have a different approach. good luck, i like the rack and lights. jimmy
