New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

I wouldn’t bother with fx4. I had a locker and skid plates on my base XL. The only thing I didn’t have was the trail modes or whatever. The fx4 shocks on the old model where garbage I guess, but I didn’t like non fx4 shocks either. 33’s fit stock.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

We just did a 1300 mile road trip towing our little 3,500lb camper over the mountains and dessert etc., truck didn’t use a drip of oil. The double cab was tight when I was sitting in the passenger seat with my brother-in-law sitting behind me, I’m 5’10”and he’s 6’2. I was hoping the crew cab...

Can't imagine what fuel service is, my last two Chevy's don't even have fuel filters anymore. When i worked at jiffy lube as a kid I did the "top end cleaner" I think it was called. You basically suck sea foam through one of the vacuum lines.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

My ‘19 Ranger had a great turning radius, even better than you’d think. I went to a double cab long box Chevy 2500. It can barely do a U turn onto a three lane road.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

The 2.3 eco boost was the best thing about my 2019 Ranger. I went from 30” tires to 32” and it was still as fast as my ‘01 mustang GT.

    2024 North American Ranger unveiled

I’m not sure I’d like it any lighter than the last one. My biggest complaints with my 19 was how much it got blown around and the small gas tank. Was a good truck though.

Why is Dodge more popular than Ford/GM? (Not a bash post)

I’m on my second chevy 2500, never had to change any ifs stuff. No bearings no tie rods. I considered getting a ram but the big local dealer had two used units on the lot, both over $55k. Also Hemi tick. Our lariat alumiduty shop truck eats tires and has wicked bump steer on flat roads. It’s...

Is there such a thing as too much light at camp

I like the factory cargo lights mounted on the third brake light and mirrors. Just bright enough and in the right places. I think those rock light things mounted under the truck and trailer would be nice if they’re not too bright. Once we’ve settled in it’s mostly lights out unless there’s some...

Determining safe tire load rating required

I had 235/85r16 load range E on my Ranger and didn’t think they were too rough. The narrow size kept the weight down a bit too I think.

    2023 Ford Raptor- Continuation

When I was shopping for a new truck I saw that heavier coils are available for the rams and those guys say the progressive springs dont change unloaded ride. I didn’t know the Raptors were coil sprung.
