Wow, looks like you're ready for the end of society as we know it.
I especially like the gun hatch over the passenger’s seat.
Back in the mid 70's I had a 108" wheelbase Chevy Panel Van that same color combo that I wanted to build like that, with 4 WD and everything you have inside.
I almost...
That is cleaver Jeremiah!
I see you've been outside the box again! :wings:
I LIKE IT.
And you have enough room under the box to put in all kinds of tanks for the camping kitchen.
I know what that snow stuff is. We had some two weeks ago around here for one day. IIRC it was almost an inch and a half deep.:wings:
Then it went away. Might get another day of it in Feburary, then we're off for our Pre Spring weather.
It's nice to have only 2 weeks of winter in Texas.
The...
alfio,
I am documenting my build as it progresses, much like Dirtco has done on his here. It is coming along nicely and I think I have overcome the disc brake issues.
It will be Electric/ Hydraulic disc brakes! It has come a long way from the picture posted above.
Always fun to push the...
It's been done, but only on large Military type vehicles AFAIK!
I've put some thought to that too!
Even have parts for a prototype.
It is possible, but the biggest obstacle to a workable solution is power differentiation.
Think IFS front wheel drive system turned around backwards.
That's all...
Sorry, I'm really not an idiot, but I did stay at the Holiday Inn last night!:)
I have considered the what if's! And since your point is a valid one, I'll explain in case others might be thinking of following my lead.
After all this is the Internet and I've seen some scary stuff made because...
If I may, I'd like to show a teaser picture of my off road trailer build I have going now that will address that issue!
I think my next trailer will address that jack knifing problem.
In fact, it will address the issue of having to make wide turns to keep the trailer from hitting obstacles on...
It looks a lot like Radio Jumpers trailer he started out with.
He made his into a really nice Expedition Trailer.
See for yourself.

Cleaver use of space on this built Radio Jumper.
The remote control spot on the back of the Toyota is a nice touch.
I had one like that on my work truck and it acame in real handy at night when working and needing to move the light position while up on a pole working the power lines.
The sink...
I've seen those trailers before. I LIKE EM!
I hope you guys won't mind if I brag a little.
You see,I like thise do much in fact, I'm building one very simular out of the back ends of a pair of 89 Isuzu Trooper Bodys.
Should be different!
I have built the frame base for it using the front frame...
I agree, the 2.8 GM motor in the Trooper was a joke! But a GM 3.4 from a Camaro is an easy swap and it really wakes up the old Boxy Troopers II 's. Which BTY the old Troopers are 1000 lbs lighter than the newer 96'er and up ones.
I'm shopping for one of the newer 3.5 Troopers now. My plan is...
Same here but I live in the same neck of the woods as Mr. Leary.
I have one trailer plate and 4 trailers. They don't really care as long as the trailer I'm pulling with my truck is registered to me.
Been doing it this way for 30 years or so.
I just picked up another today and will be going...
Your sure welcome! I hope my info helps you in some way. I know that system has worked well for me over the years.
My new build will use a 26 gallon Trooper Fuel Tank under it's floor complete with factory Skid Plate!
Well, here's a teaser shot of the start of my Remote Control Steerable IFS...
I ride a KLR!
But I wouldn't reccommend it as a lifeboat bike.
I have a friend who rides the TW.
He has ridden that thing from North Texas to North Carolina.
He stayed on the back roads and wasn't in any hurry.
It was packed to the hilt with gear. He's still riding it.
For something to add to...
After my Divorce I moved to a local lake with my Pop Up Trailer and lived in it for 2 years. I owned a house in town that I had renters in before the Divorce, so I kept it that way and bought a 1207 Jayco. The actual walking floor space was 12 feet long and it was 24 feet overall unfolded. So...
Great start. Looks good and I wouldn't sweat the off size too much at this point. You won't miss the inches.
One thing is for sure, you're going to have to try hard to bend it!
That's for sure. :victory:
Curtis
Oh I forgot to add.
If you use metal polish on the galvanized plated steel it will come out looking almost like chrome. The only problem is you have to polish it every so often to keep the shine up.
I like your creativity.
And with all the criticism you're getting wait until I post up my Trailer build after the first of the year.
For mine I am using the other end of a small Isuzu Pickup frame with it's suspension.
Boy are they gonna howl!!! :Wow1:
That's right! I'm building an...
That swing out door looks like the perfect place to put a drop down table for a kitchen. Maybe even cut a hole in the table top for a drop in sink.
Just thinking out loud!
Nice build BTY!
When I repowered my FERD Motorhome from gas to diesel, I regeared the diff to 3:56's but the 4 speed Allison tranny was still one gear short for highway driving.
So I bought this to put behind it.
It's a 5831 Spicer Aux transmission. Made to mount between the transmission and the rear diff. If...
