    2020 Defender Spy Shots....

So it’s still TRS 2, but no locker options that I can find. I didn’t even see it mention the center locker. Good approach angles and suspension travel aren’t really worth much if you’re a 1 or 2 wheel drive vehicle. I’m not sure yet, I feel like if there’s at least a 2 locker setup this would...

Can’t Seem to find the e-diff option for any of the 110 models, and it doesn’t seem to be listed as standard equipment. Maybe it’s exclusive to the new 90?

Ok looked a little closer, here’s some notes on the BIW shots. I think there’s a lot of good actually, based on some assumptions. A - fuel pump access in-car, no dropping fuel tank on trail B - if their CAD shot is accurate, they left the arches in front completely open, covered only by...

    2020 Defender Spy Shots....

I’m mostly interested in the air suspension setup, geometry, and whether they got additional travel or anything else out of the LR3/4/5 system. The unibody looks like a total miss to me, but we’ll see. The way unibody works is sort/of anathema to heavy duty work. The strength of the chassis...

Any chance you have those screenshots? Ive finally come around to doing the differential project. Here's the latest: Got the TR full armor installed - bumpers, double swing out, nerf bar steps and sliders, gas tank skid etc etc. I had a Warn 12S Platinum installed, with a Factor 55 Ultrahook...

I’m not too worried about the wiring or the mechanical as I think I’ve already ticked all the boxes - using IID it wasn’t clear to me how to modify the ccf to add the ediff module. At this point I’m also on pause trying to figure out who will rebuild the diff for me. I don’t really want to go...

2 questions: Half shafts upgraded because it’s a different part moving to the locker? CCF mod - did you just use your GAP tool? Any chance you remember any details on this part? Cheers,

It was very easy and zero dollars for me to get rid of the rubbing 100%. See the posts above - a few inches of plastic, and 1 hour of grinding and pounding on the frame horns.

Thanks! The 32”s fit with only 3-4mm of clearance needed at the frame horns. The 34”s would require just an inch and a half a the same location. Clearance at the front and rear frame itself during full lock turning is questionable, I’ll take some photos with the truck on the 4 post hoist...

I think we are beginning to agree and come full circle- I like the larger diameter tires for their added comfort factor on rough gound, plus they allow me to run a larger sidewall for additional compliance against harshness. I wouldn’t mind using the compomotives, as even on a 34” tire its an...

Gearing shouldn’t be too much of an issue considering the two speed transaxle - already I spend most of the time in 2nd/3rd gear when in low range. In hi range, the larger final drive as a result of the tires should give slightly worse acceleration performance (but so does the hundreds of...

If the fogs were going off automatically but the extra h7s were adding that much light, that’s awesome! On the 34” tire - the larger the tire radius the larger the hole/rut/rock the vehicle can roll over smoothly. On this trip it was extra apparent :) it would definitely add 5-10 mph of...

    Full length rack noise

The full length FR rack is lound in my opinion. Can’t speak for the 3/4 rack. I made an aluminum plate into a makeshift air dam, works surprisingly well.

LR3 factory air tank for aux air.

I was also thinking of filling the tank directly and running both pumps simultaneously signaled off the same trigger (have it in the wiring diagrams from Topix, somewhere...). That way the 180-220psi tank pressure will be met sooner, allowing each pump to shut down quicker and remain cooler...

LR3 factory air tank for aux air.

Definitely doing this mod, will likely grab the APT air tank cover for it as well! I only wish that the ARB supported ~200-220 PSI, so that an emergency crossover between the EAS tank and this Aux tank could be added in a pinch. Air dryer would be needed. I understand the ARB does 150 PSI max.
