    95 F350 Build - “The Warden”

Don't hold my feet to the fire on this one... But I'm pretty confident that the 99-04 axles are pretty easy to swap into an OBS. The 05+ may be a little bit easier for you because it already has coil buckets. The 4x4 conversion will require some welding, just a matter of what you feel most...

What cool things are powered from your upfitter (aux switches)

1-3 are lights. 4 is nothing, yet. Probably gonna become for the dog box fan.

    95 F350 Build - “The Warden”

I'd look for a set of SD axles if you swap the front. Bolt pattern is different, and the 05+ axles are 4" wider.

Motorcycle carrier on FRONT of truck?

No personal experience... But look at a light setup for a snow plow setup.

Installing dual fuel fillers into one fuel tank

You really have that much of an issue buying fuel?

    Hands on, or end result?

I did my first last year. Got a pile of parts that was most of a long block and assembled it for an engine swap. I had a lot of fun doing it, and it's done great.

Installing dual fuel fillers into one fuel tank

Wouldn't installing a transmission with a reverse gear be a more useful solution?

    What is this worth?

For some uses, yeah, you're completely correct. But there's people in the bird hunting community that will spend 6-7 months on the road, hunting their from Canada to Texas, avoiding cities and only stopping in small towns to get fuel for their motor home and some basic food supplies. They...

Great White Buffalo - 2000 Ford 7.3 Powerstroke

If you or the shop is anywhere near removing valve covers... I'd replace both of those gaskets. They are somewhat failure prone, mostly the gaskets... There's no good time to loose a bank of cylinders. They definitely seem to fail at the most bad times though.

    What is this worth?

138k miles on an ambulance are possibly the worst 138k miles you can put on a vehicle. Lots of idling, wide open on a cold engine...

    Hands on, or end result?

As you're going through the process of modifying and building a vehicle, do you do most/all of the work yourself, or do have a shop/shops you trust handle it? I'm very hands on, the actual work is something I very much enjoy. Especially now that I have a shop, especially one that's actually...

    Upland Hunting - General

Somehow I just found this one... I've got a couple of Pointers, one nice one, one that's... A cool dog. I quail hunt, and field trial. Don't really care much about pheasants, and don't really have the dog power I want to justify a trip to the big prairies.

Novice Needs Your Guidance to help get started

Not to talk bad about training, or those that offer it. Knowledge is priceless. But also, just go and do. You won't die. Try things, see what works, see what you like. I've done (and enjoyed) things that people will say doesn't work. And remember, when things invariably don't work right...

    Interior building material

Baltic Birch CAN be great stuff... But there are some low grade BB options out there. I've seen (and had) some that's pretty terrible. But when it's good, it's GREAT! I use a ton of it for all kinds of stuff (I do high end remodel trim carpentry for a living.) Another option, especially if...

Brass vs metal bolts in an electric system

It actually makes perfect sense. Thanks! I was trying to figure out how to reconcile the two, and you gave me the pieces to do just that.

Brass vs metal bolts in an electric system

But engine blocks and truck frames & bodies work for grounds... Not saying you're wrong, but it also doesn't quite make sense.
