Can someone confirm please if the water pump is normally replaced at the same time as timing belt service, per the fsm?

What has to come off to get to water pump? Definitely lost either the pump seal or the gasket…..not sure which. 10psi air pressure applied through radiator creates the leak on demand, and it leaks down from above the crank pulley. If I am less than 10k before timing belt needs to be done...

On a road trip, forgot FSM, could anyone post an image or link of coolant system / water pump possibly?

You should, if for no other reason than to provide an interesting day to a bored Mitsu tech…….Monteros are few and far between at dealerships these days. 2 more years and mine turns 25

They don’t replace the entire airbag module, only the inflator disc. That is the problem….the inflator….too much boom.

Airbag recall finally taken care of. Whole process took under an hour.

Been to Oshkosh myself a few times. Hope you had a good time, heard some people camped in the museum for a few hours.

Check & clean all grounds and the positive lead to battery. Excessive resistance would be my next best guess.

Oil leaking on it? That will kill them quickly.

You won’t get this level of support, but like Toasty said you should be covered otherwise.

Someone here has got to have an answer…..I’d image the procedure would be in an owners manual for that year and model. I wonder if interference from the other gauges in the cluster could be a factor. Could you play with it outside the vehicle maybe, with a 12v power supply and do some bench tests?

Question is, how much ended up on you vs. the truck? Love the product, but can’t seem to ever use it without getting it on something I didn’t intend to.

It’s like a leather glove for your gas tank. I’d say it did the job. Everything is a compromise......whatever you modify will end up being heavier than stock more than likely.
