I have been looking for a '95 RRC LWB, but found a '02 P38 LWB with a new 4.6 and <70K total miles locally. Other than the air suspension and rust, what should I look for? Want a good backcountry driver, but not going to bash it through the rocks ;-) Thanks, Mike S

I added a vent to my ARE shell. I used a 6" 12V marine bilge fan and topped it with a clam shell vent cover. Took about 45 minutes once I convinced myself to cut a hole in the shell.

I doubt that it will work with a JB tent. Sorry.

Understand. You should look at the Air Top or Maggiolina - they have an optional changing room that attaches to the upper edge of the tent, have a full door, window, insect screens, and provide access to the and the vehicle from inside the changing room Should be enough room for two dog crates...

Do your homework on fabrics before you buy. Canvas may not be the best choice for an RTT.

Are you thinking of the side tent for the dogs? I travel with my bird dogs frequently and they stay in their kennels or on a stake-out when not released to run.

Mike -- Do the posters on that BBS you mentioned have RTTs on their vehicles? We have fitted nearly 3,000 tents on all types of vehicles and NEVER had one dent or damage the roof due to tent or occupant weight. The Thule weight limits are total dynamic load limits - more about braking, handling...

YES - we have fabric swatches to do spot repairs. Just let us know the model and color and we'll send them out to you.

The screens can be repaired of course by using tape or patches. Note, however, they the screens are connected to the tent at the top by a 'hook and loop' strip. They can very easily be removed and replaced - and yes, we do have replacement screens. It's the real world and stuff happens.
