    Autohome Airtop 2 Year Review

Sorry if your e-mail got lost in the rush of business that happens this time of year. Andrew is highly reliable -- not sure what happened. Just e-mail me your name and mailing address (put Air Top straps in the subject line), and I'll send the spare straps along directly. mike@autohomeus.com My...

    Autohome Airtop 2 Year Review

fubuki We cannot help you with the problem of dirt on your tent. Real world exposure is what it is. We can help with replacement straps (which ARE supplied with rivets). A pop rivet tool to install the rivets will cost about $20. The straps are holding the tent closed, but we would be happy to...

    Rooftop tent and camper shell

Many of our customers (over 100 or more) have fitted tents to the tops of campers shells and. I have used tents on the standard ARE shell with a Yakima track system on my F350 with zero problems and no flexing at all. I do not think you need to add bracing inside the shell to support the tent...

Roof top tent vs. trailer top tent: Go...

No, most customers tell us there is zero to 1-1/2 MPG decrease in MPG. On a few vehicles (older Cherokees, of instance) this is an actual INCREASE in MPG. It is a variable thing that is difficult to estimate.

    Any bird hunters?

I just returned from Montana - dog training mission. Prairie looks good and my friends are telling me it looks very good for birds in the middle and eastern areas.

Which Caliber for a primary Hunting Rifle?

Brian, hard to make a better choice than a light(er) weight 30-'06 with modest variable scope - Leupold, of course. I would prefer a model 70 or Mauser, but the Remington 700 is an excellent rifle. I owned one in 30-'06 for years. A good elk rifle.

    Lights inside a rooftop tent

We use a 3 LED Osram light - battery powered by AA batts. Lasts a long time, is simple, requires no cords.

Locking a RTT to top of car

We sell the TuffNut security kit for our standard mounting hardware. In the years that I have been dealing in Roof Top Tents, only one tent has been reported stolen - and in that case the entire vehicle was stolen.
